  1. I only remember it because he pulled the trigger before I could, it's a pretty sweet poster
  2. Tupenny bought the Walt Simonson Thor / Beta Ray Bill poster and asked for it to be drop shipped after he got an offer right after he posted the take it. I sold Shad 2 Avengers books that he wanted me to drop ship for him. A certain member bought an Avengers 57 for his collection and immediately flipped it for a nice profit. That one was of course a misunderstanding.
  3. The older I get the less tolerance I have for idjits
  4. How big can my ignore list get? It's hard to keep track
  5. I wasn't aware of that but to be honest it wouldn't have mattered to me either way. It was just SO stupid and so not what Spider-Man ( at least the version I enjoy ) is about, it completely took me out of the movie. Even more than Holland playing Spider-Man as if he has ADHD. Yuck.
  6. Of course even though Thanos was CGC, heaven forbid they show him with his helmet on I thought Black Panther was pretty decent for a Marvel movie. The way they handled vibranium was almost...almost as stupid as Spider-Man having his chest symbol be a drone and having an AI.
  7. No clue who that is or what you're talking about Frankly my interest has waned.
  8. Do you work in Hollywood? You seem to have the right attitude for it Frankly I don't see why they couldn't do a giant human-shaped Galactus. If they played it straight I think it could look amazing...of course Marvel Studios would have him taking a big krap on Mt Fuji or something because everything MUST serve the jokes.
  9. I don't pay enough attention, what were those for?
  10. The series lasted until issue #125...seems like a little more than a sidekick to me Personally I would've rather seen a well done Iron Fist...as opposed to the POS we got on Netflix.
  11. OK, you have me beat. I only have 1 left for telling the truth about someone here.
  12. So you're saying he would've been better suited to what Marvel was doing on Netflix, less cosmic, more street level. I don't need everything to be FX and cosmic. The movie will fit in like the character fit into the MU in the comics. Of course it will absolutely suck and be a HUGE hit And I hope to make some nice coin when I sell my copies
  13. I honestly don't understand ( or care much ) what Marvel's plan is. I like Shang Chi, I really do..but he is a C lister at best. But Marvel found a way to take a group of C listers ( Guardians of the Galaxy ) and turn them into a MEGA hit. They have the secret sauce and everything they touch pretty much turns to box office gold. I have my copies of Special Marvel Edition #15 ready and waiting and that's pretty much the only excitement I can drum up for this movie.
  14. The "draw" of the book was not really about the martial arts, but more about the eastern philosophy. Don't worry though, I'm sure Marvel will only pay the tiniest amount of lip service to what made the book interesting and he'll be cracking jokes and throwing fireballs around ala Mortal Kombat.
  15. If Marvel Studios can find a way to ruin the character in the name of making it more homogenized for the masses, I'm sure they will. It's been a successful formula so far.
  16. I just read the run for the first time after completing my set and in the letters pages in the mid 1970's fans were questioning that turn of a phrase as being "out of touch", so I imagine in today's climate that would be a definite NO
  17. Oh good grief, reporting his post? Are we all that namby pamby around here that any little butthurt gets reported?
  18. Someone could make a bazillion dollars if they figured out a way to unpress books
  19. I had never heard of pressing before I joined this forum for what that's worth. I think it's silly for anyone to claim that "most" collectors know about pressing. Slab collectors...I could agree with that, but the $2 box divers looking to fill runs, maybe not so much.
  20. You shouldn't be. There's a great big world of comic book collectors / readers who don't use third party grading and don't understand / know about pressing.
  21. I get it. If a duck makes a "moo" sound, I'm not going to all of a sudden believe he's a cow.
