  1. I haven't used Overstreet in years, try www.comicspriceguide.com it will give you a better view into the awesmeness that is Gijoe...
  2. Which guide are you referring to? There's a first print, a second print (I have one with it on the indica), and a reprint that was included in a 3 pack (I believe). The latter being the reprint and the other the 2nd print.
  3. sweet sketch. I loved his artwork on the NAM, some of my favourite...
  4. RE: the TMNT/ASM 121 trade I would say the person who ends up with the TMNT #1 is the better off of the two. It has more growth potential even in a lower grade.

  6. bought mine off the rack in 1988: I should have been more careful reading it, maybe I would have had a 9.8...
  7. I had thought another tell was the mouser's head and how close it was to the top of the front cover. It does not seem to be the case above...
  8. Me too, there really is a smell that comes from those pages...
  9. The white mark on the bottom left corner on the front of the 1st print is visible on both copies and there seems to be some off centering on the rear cover on both although the slabbed one is worse than the raw one. So the white mark is actually the mouser's left leg showing on the cover of the 1st print due to the off centering of the print. I don't know if this is pandemic to all first prints but it is in my case.
  10. I noticed a line up the bottom left corner on the rear of the 1st print so went to look at another (raw) copy I have:
  11. Here are 2 9.8 WP (SS) side by side. The one on the left is the first print, and the one on the right t'other:
  12. thanks for posting all that stuff TMNT. I too am now looking forward to your site....
  13. That's amazing... I had never heard of their show and this cassette. It was around this time that Milli Vanilli were outed as lip syncers. I wonder if the little green fellas (not MV) were as good as Billy and the Boingers...
  14. Sonukumar21 welcome to the boards and the club!
  15. I just realised that in March the silent issue will be 30 years old! Craaazy!!
  16. I've noticed that too. The dark cover makes it hard in 9.8 but there are quite a few around.
  17. Thanks Anthony! great packaging and fast shipping to Canada, top notch!
  18. Groo comics seem to be heating up a bit, the prices keep rising on Destroyer Duck, Starslayer, and Pacific's in 9.8. I can't say what raw copies are doing but personally I think it's about time as Groo is one special mendicant...
  19. This is an older photo as I've had a couple more foils graded since then... I think it may be obvious I have a fetish for this cover. The #33 (DDP) from this run in foil is another one that is hard to find and I am still on the search for a 9.8 universal. I had to get some graded as GLOD in order to have Turner's sig on there:
  20. yup, it's a good price for this book, I don't think we'll see one selling for less than that again. In 10 years we'll see it well above that as long as the population doesn't grow by many more. At that point it'll be a 40 year old book! Once all the 9.8's have been bought (from those who are submitting them) and stashed away in private collections we'll see the demand go up. There's definitely more of a market for the lower grades at this time and even those will have nowhere to go but up.
