  1. That's where I am at too. I have issues after that but have not read them. It's on the pull list too but they will remain unread until I catch up in sequence. I'm willing to do it in trade but the issues are cheap so I'll try that first, when I get around to it. Spending all my money on TMNT stuff right now
  2. Almost entirely X books Already found Wolverine Origins 1-6 I had to borrow someones crossover/suv to get the stuff home, folded 3 seats down and barely made it Looking for New Mutants 98
  3. What's the difference between these two? http://cgi.ebay.com/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-Collected-1-TMNT_W0QQitemZ250565540418QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a56deba42 http://cgi.ebay.com/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-collected-book-1-used_W0QQitemZ120516320181QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1c0f551bb5 The one Mirage is selling is got the picture of the 2nd one, but it clearly shows (2009) on that page so it may be a new printing? I have not seen the first one with that cover before so I don't know much about it. Looks like it is probably oversized. The second one is comic book sized and published recently. They both seem to reprint the same stuff. EDIT: Most likely different publishers too. First published these colorized reprint trades back then Mirage also published some collected volumes with painted covers that looked really cool too. The first one I believe reprints #1-11 with the one shots as well.
  4. I don't remember if they explained it being a government experiment or not, but they definitely hinted at it. The ending was
  5. That does sound like a better way to end it. I hardly remember what happened after they left but I remember the ending. I predicted it but still thought it was bold of him to write that ending.
  6. I thought the best part of the series was the time spent at the prison. I liked it from the start but I also did not understand how it got such a huge mainstream following and all that high praise. It's a good book but it didn't change my world or anything. (Deadworld got off to a better start)
  7. I had not put two and two together until now, Boozad did that piece! Great job (thumbs u
  8. In Lost Michelle Rodriguez was killed off. I doubt they could have landed her for the role if it had not been temporary. A smaller commitment may increase the odds of them landing a bigger name for a role. But they did well on Breaking Bad with only one character played by anyone I had ever heard of.
  9. Very cool. Is that a Comics Code stamp on the cover?
  10. One of the first things I did when I joined this board was buy a variant to a comic I was having trouble getting Not worth it now that I have it though. I'll pick one up if I find it in the rummage bin, or if it's cover price and I like it better than the regular cover. Otherwise I'll just look at the cool covers online
  11. Yeah, there were comics like Biker Butcher Whores or something like that. I assumed they would be pretty violent
  12. Was GRIPS the first comic at the time pushing the violence envelope? I don't think so. Maybe the most popular one to do it though. There was an endless supply of homebrew comics at the time and the more obscure they got, the more violent and smutty they got. I think Silverwolf came around towards the end of the B&W boom, around 86 or later. They say the "boom" started after TMNT #1 hit the stands, but there were plenty of B&W indies out at that time and before, just not fetching crazy prices.
  13. That is one issue I would prefer a defaced cover on
  14. They were not the deepest of plots. It was over the top violence and vulgarity for teens, just about 10 years ahead of the mainstream. They are fun to read though.
  15. I love it! The packaging was above and beyond. I don't think I have seen a custom figure complete in packaging before.
  16. All that makes me think is that is one awesome panel.
