  1. I don't know about WD but I have seen complete runs of comics sell for less than the going rate of one key issue contained in the run. Your best bet is to sell 1-5 one at a time and then maybe the rest in a lot.
  2. please refrain from putting down board members in the walking dead post. i also love walking dead, but unlike you, i have every 2nd print, including issue #2's 2nd print. some people say it's silly for grown men and women to buy/read/collect comic books in the first place. what would you say to them? I don't think he was putting anybody down. I think it's silly to vault them away in plastic containers never to be read, or pay a huge premium because a little slip of paper with "9.8" was stuffed inside along with it, but I'm still here to talk about comics and not judge what other people do with theirs
  3. My thread in mixed is all copper and modern now that my pulps are sold. Several hundred comics listed including TMNT
  4. Grips and Edge were the two that got me into GMC but I have a complete run of Fat Ninja and both issues of Fantastic Fables as well. I would like to get more from Silverwolf and GMC I have met Kris Silver a couple times when I was a kid too
  5. That's what I thought but had to check just in case it was a neat 10 page teaser of the start of the outbreak
  6. These Walking Dead previews people are paying so much money for, what do they consist of? Any material not found in WD comics or trades?
  7. I saw it on the shelf at the comic shop I visited a few weeks back. I almost picked it up but I didn't like the color. My only copy of #1 is from FCBD but I have it twice in trade
  8. Hack Slash #29 Usagi Yojimbo #125 And a mess of Usagi back issues.
  9. It's not Vince Locke on the covers it's Dalibor Talajic. He's a Serbian artist, and these covers were done exclusively for the Serbian editions so you won't see them elsewhere. Best, Chris very cool! nice artwork too
  10. The cover art on those Serbian comics do not look like Vincent Locke art to me. Any info on the cover artist?
  11. I actually go out of my way to avoid so if it does turn out to be true, (which I doubt) it would probably be a good jumping off point for me. The scenario you guys explain would be an acceptable one, but in pretty much any other context it would be the black mark on a great series.
  12. I haven't heard of Deadworld before. If it's similar to the WD I'd like to try it out. I did an eBay search and "mycomicshop" search about it. Are you refering to the series put out by IMAGE or the one put out by ARROW/CALIBER??? The Image series looks like it came out within the last 10 years. The Arrow/Caliber series started in the mid 80's and looks like there are a ton of issues. Even a 2nd series that went into the 90's. If you read this let me know which. (thumbs u I only have issue one of the Image series. There were two Caliber runs and a handful of oneshots and minis. Then the image run, and I think there are still GN's being put out by the original writer, maybe self published? The first dozen or so issues were written by Gary Reed and illustrated by Vincent Locke. They were awesome. The similarities include there could be more but that is just off the top of my head. Deadworld was more supernatural, with spirits and black magic and parallel universes, but when it first started it was about a group of teens trying to stake out a safe place to live, and that was when it was really good. Oh yeah, and I have read the entire first two series as well as most of the Deadworld Chronicles oneshots and Caliber Presents/Calibrations issues with deadworld stories. I have the minis just haven't read them yet, and the first issue from the Image run that I peeked at but not read. Looks like a reboot of Vol. 1.
  13. I'm reading through the compendium and finding a lot of similarities between WD and Deadworld. I'm not saying WD is flat out stealing, but just that I sometimes feel a bit of deja vu while reading. Makes me wonder if Deadworld would have been a huge hit had the talent stayed on board.
  14. ninjaturtles.com has a nice scan but it's probably not big enough can someone link me to gcbd please?
  15. Got an issue number or printing? book 1, any printing if i'm not mistaken.
  16. I have a favor to ask of you TMNT fans. Could someone please post up a nice big high quality scan of the cover to this? I am having ajaxfarrell make something for me. Milehigh has a large scan but it looks grainy and has their watermark. Unfortunately I don't own a copy anymore (hope to fix that soon enough) thanks
  17. are any of the early reprints of 1-4 identical in size and cover art to the first printings or did they drop down to regular size with the second print?
  18. Really? I was cursing her name after looking for that damn dog's name through all those issues! I did the same
  19. could go either way. i think the average reader wouldn't care about print runs on foreign translations, but i personally have been known to keep an eye out on ebay.de for german editions of elfquest. i'm sure i'm not the only collector with an interest in things like that. it only takes two of them to drive the price of that WD up quite a bit
