I agree with the majority. 9.2 as is. Possible 9.4 if you can press out the indents at the bottom and above Nightcrawler's arm
It's a really nice looking copy - congrats.
-
4.5 for me.
Is that a stain on the inside FC at the bottom or just a shadow? Cant really see the discolouration on the outside FC.
-
8.0 From a fellow Nottingham-ite
Cant see a press doing much but the BC will certainly present a lot better after a dry clean
-
Looks to be 2 or 3 small CB stresses on the spine in the final pic. Bottom corner seems to have taken a minor knock.
I'd go with 9.0 - 9.2

8.5 for me. Multiple colour breaking stress mark on spine (I can see 5 on FC). BC shows additional stress towards the top of the spine.
I think that the ink stain on the BC is production related so no impact on grade.
-
9.4 for me. That bend on the BC and corner abrasions are too much for a 9.6

with those spine corners, maybe 9.4?
Yup - 9.4 for me as well.
-
I'd go with 1.8. Cumulatively, there is a lot of the cover missing along the spine

It's really difficult to make out the severity of the spine issue from your photographs. From what I can see I'd rule out 9.8. TBH, as it is clearly colour-breaking I'd rollout 9.6 and 9.4 as well.
9.2 for me.
I'm probably wrong though.

Colour break in 2nd pic keeps it out of the 9's IMO. I'd go with 8.5

Thanks everyone.
I've no interest in sending this in, just wanted to double-check my trading before it gets filed away (And out of my sight). Cant bring myself to part with it, purely because it will leave a gap in my New Mutants collection.

Anyone willing to offer little help here. this book is usually ugly enough but this copy has printer tracks right down the left side of the FC. Light CB creasing in top right FC corner and top and bottom of spine are lightly blunted. 4 minor stress lines on the spine and the BC shows signs of abrasion.
My initial thought was 7.0 - Am I being a nit too harsh (Or not harsh enough)?
In any case - it's still ugly!

It's been a while since I posted in here and I was hoping to add some pics if any sweet, BA Red Sonja books I got at LSCC.
Alas, there were non
I did manage to add two more sigs to my Art of RS hardcover though, so not a complete loss.
Claudio Castellini
Some bloke named Dell Otto. Seemed nice enough but not sure he'll do anything of note.

I agree with the consensus 6.0 / 6.5 as it is now. The corner keep it out of the 7.0 range for me.
I usually keep quiet in these here parts but thought I'd chip in for a fellow Nottingham-ite.

File Cabinet. http://comicsherald.com/setting-comics-filing-cabinets/
I use filing cabinets as well. I'm just about to replace my two 4 drawer Bisley cabinets with a couple of these ("Rescued" from my office at work )

A great read. You've obviously put a lot of work into this.
