  1. Beautiful books. I especially love those Ka-Zar's Good work fella
  2. That just won't do. I'm in the wife's bad books so I also got none Roll on Christmas. Are we still talking about turkey?
  3. I watched Prometheus yesterday............... And....... ? +1 I'm always interested in others opinions on this movie. I personally loved it, although being a HUGE Alien fan as well as acknowledging that Ridley Scott is the worlds greatest Teessider - I always thought my opinion was slightly skewed. I thought it worked as both a pre-pre-prequel as well as a stand-alone movie. I can understand why some hated it (Too thinky, too slow, not enough Xeno's, didn't tie directly into the start of Alien...) but to me, the pacing was perfect, the story was captivating and you can't deny that it looked utterly breathtaking.
  4. I went into The Sweeney purposely avoiding all reviews (Expecting them not to be too complementary). Thoroughly enjoyed it. Far more than I expected, I agree that Ben Drew's acting wasn't the best (For that, you must see Harry Brown - he potentially outshines Michael Caine) but it was far from awful. Semi-plausible storyline Good action sequences Car chases Hayley Atwell Kara Tointon Ray Winston (Being Ray Winston) More car chases What's not to love??? I'm going to skip Taken 2 till the DVD release. I loved the first movie, but the concept of the second (Plus every review points out the hugely implausible plot) has put me off.
  5. Counteract your movie-based disappointment by going to see The Sweeney. As long as the current teething-based catastrophe has subsided, I've got Prometheus for tonight.
  6. I hope you are removing the toxic plastic first! The poly bag is far less toxic than the Liefeld art.
  7. Cork is where I had my stag party and subsequently lost about 48 hours of my life to excessive alcohol and strippers. I wish I could remember more than the occasional glimpsed flashback.
  8. Tae Kwon Do's for girls Nah. Tang Soo Do is for girls. Ask my wife who is a black belt.
  9. Too stop and start for my limited attention span and I never really got into Rugby League (Although I did try). My limited sporting ability is focussed on Footy, Squash golf (Technically a game, not a sport) and Tae Kwon Do. There are few pleasures in life as sweet as kicking someone in the head (legally)
  10. I've been burning copies of X-Force #1 since last Feb to power my home.
  11. I would have thought that he would keep that private! Gary is very vocal about being an Arsenal fan. He wears his Arse on his sleeve. Well it's very handy for when I need to go in public. I can also honestly say that I have never chanted "up the arse" in reference to my football club I often chant "Bunch of Arse" in reference to mine. Specifically when they only manage a 2-2 draw against Derby County and especially when I've paid £38 to watch it
  12. The best bit is the lyrics sections. They help me sing along with Howard Jones, Wet Wet Wet and Big Fun. The posters and stickers aren't bad either.
  13. Shame I can't access YouTube at work otherwise there would be links to Stockholm Syndrome, Knights of Cydonia, New Born, Plug In Baby and Butterflies and Hurricanes incoming. Muse
  14. Muse are my favourite band. I've seen them live 6 times and just picked up their new album and intend to listen to it tonight. I'va always been staggered by their live performances (Unfortunately, I didn't get tickets for the tour later this year ) Their recent albums have been quite varied in style when you consider their first 3. The last album took a couple of listens for me and although it's no "Absolution", it's still a great listen I'll hold judgement on the new one till I've haerd it a couple of times.
  15. Just woke up to a lovely day off with which I intend to nurse my hangover and watch the highlights again and again and again... Get in there lads (thumbs u
