  1. Just picked up my first Red Sonja book. Not my usual target book but the price was nice and I always like pence variants. Having read it, I'll be on the look out for the rest of the series.
  2. Those X-Men books were the first comics that I ever remember buying (Other than the obligatory Beano). I can actually still remember buying the #1 from Martin's Newsagent in Acklam and then taking it to school to read with my friends. I've never seen any copies since. Great work
  3. You should look at his registry set
  4. I've got to admit, the yellow and blue do clash a bit on this book. The 9.8 blue label I'm waiting to come back from CGC is probably more aesthetically pleasing.
  5. Interesting that in the novel it wasn't Chianti but another wine. Blue Nun (thumbs u
  6. Old Jimmers and Chris (Bane) Never been seen in the same place at the same time
  7. Picture Managed to rope in some help. Alex is a dab hand with a snow shovel and is happy to be paid in Cadbury buttons (TBH, aren't we all???)
  8. I"ve cleared my drive and paths once already this morning. Going to have to do it again shortly
  9. Striding Edge is one of my all-time favourite walks / climbs. Not for the faint-hearted though, especially in wind or rain.
  10. Yeah! Blencathra, we stopped at the White horse inn on the A66, it has converted some stables into bunk houses, they have heaters in, so it was OK. I stayed there years ago (Or rather on the campsite opposite). The last time I braved Blencathra, I came down the skree covered south face a bit too quickly, tumbled off a ledge and ended up with my right foot pointing backwards huge amounts if ligament damage to my ankle. It continued to spontaneously dislocate for a few years afterwards. Damned inconvenient.
  11. Chris, What are you doing in modern??? At least you picked a decent thread. Like previous responses, I saw Revival first on Previews and was instantly hooked on the premise. Issue 1 blew me away. The regular cover to #1 really made me want to buy it (Still one of my favourite modern covers). It took a couple of issues for me to get completely hooked. I like the pacing of the writing. Slow and purposeful. It also helps that the art is great.
  12. I am still collecting them and to be fair, I've enjoyed just about all of them. There have been stories I've never gotten around to reading before that have been covered and had me hooked. One example was the Cap Britain HC. Absolutely loved it. Fair enough, it might be a Tenner per month but the quality of the HC and the stories have been value for money.
  13. I'm already sucked into the Marvel Ultimate Graphic Novel collection which is actually very good. I'll give this one a miss. Doesn't actually look all that impressive.
  14. I'll see what I can do. I'm busy during JSCs signing tomorrow but should be free for his signing slot on Sunday. If I get something done, I'll send you a pic. If anyone else has chance to get this done, let me know.
  15. Matt, do you just want it signing or witnessing/subbing as well?
  16. Those are some beautiful X-Men books. Congratulations
  17. I might attend as well this year. Last year looked fantastic.
  18. I suspect it's just me but I'm not all that keen on these 2 new Phantom variants. The #1 was awesome. 1A is still my favorite cover in recent years. The #6 was great as well. These 2 new ones really do nothing for me. May actually give these 2 a miss.
  19. It is a comic I like it (Thumbs u
