  1. Here's hoping so as I was hoping to use one of mine for a Tim S sig at LSCC (Saves me cracking a 1A).
  2. Just received 2 Phantom #1s and 1 Phantom #6. All seem to have the defect above the "L" but on my copies the defect is much higher up. It is about 1mm below the top edge of the page. All 3 would be easy NM+ and I'd happily have subbed them expecting 9.8 without this. Seriously wondering how CGC will handle it. Has anyone managed to snag a copy without the defect yet?
  3. Great Star Wars #1 Like The_Collector said, buy what you like but only at a price that you can afford. It's a great hobby that can become a huge cash-sink at times. BTW - WTTB. Hope you enjoy it here.
  4. Some wonderful copper sweetness courtesy of Cheetah Oh dear - Jean is dead again. That's just clumsy
  5. That's a healthy looking basil plant. I'd be wary about the dressing though
  6. I find that in those circumstances, a short e-mail to the Information Commissioner's Office often results in an incredibly speedy removal of your details from marketing lists.
  7. +1 Inferno is still my second favourite X-Men storyline (After Dark Phoenix Saga). There was the occasional gem such as X-Tinction Agenda but all in all, pretty mediocre from then on and actually truly awful during the 400's Messiah Complex was a welcome turning point for me which saw the title begin to get back to being an enjoyable read which I actually looked forward to each month. Then it got cancelled
  8. A quick update. The seller has now agreed to send me a replacement copy, shipped with an appropriate amount of packaging to ensure it will arrive undamaged. What P's me off more than anything is my own actually stupidity in this whole incident. The book was listed with the variant cover for #5. A book I'm desparatly after as Dre hasn't been able to locate me a 9.8 copy (Jean Grey cover - buy buy buy buy........). I saw the pic, saw the price £1.50 + £1.50 P&P and jumped at the opportunity (Although deep down, not expecting the advertised NM/M). It was only after I saw the book had been shipped that it was actually #6 At least now I'll have 2 reader copies and 2 more digital codes to go with the digital copy I already have Moral of the story - stick to the eBay sellers I know and trust and read the listing properly. BTW #1 - Seller was motherbookers2u BTW #2 - Anyone got a spare #5 Variant???
  9. Here we go My message Hi,My copy has just arrived in the post. Unfortunately it has suffered a lot of damage in the post. It looks as though it has actually been folded in half at some point. I'm happy to send a photograph of the damage if you require it. Could you please either send me a replacement (Ideally with suitable packaging to withstand our less-than-delicate postal service) or provide a refund so I can buy an undamaged copy from my local store. Kind regards Paul Response So, due to the post office being at fault I should fully replace/ refund item?( not saying I won't ) but with myself not being at fault ( my feedback about packing withstanding) I suggest you contact the post office. I shall check if I have anymore issues. And if so I will ship again. My packing will be the same as all items I send out. And never had a problem like this.I shall get back to you later in the day. Sorry your item is in disarray, but once again it's the post office accountable
  10. Just contacted the seller and asked for a replacement. Preferably one that doesn't appear to have been folded in half Luckily, they have already given me positive feedback due to my prompt payment so I've less fear of this one coming back and biting me on the arse.
  11. This does not bode well. It's a copy (I think) if All-New X-Men 6 bought from Feebay. Packaging appears to be an ordinary Manila envelope. It feels as though the comic is boarded. Any guesses on how bad this is going to be???
  12. Not safe for the office (Naughty audio) http://youtu.be/VDrNZSJolow
  13. Those UXM are great pickups. UXM 213 is my favourite Davis cover ever.
  14. +1 As much as I hate to admit it, I'm going to try to get hold of the #1 variant, purely because I love the 1A cover. The rest can go jump for all I care. The only two monthlies I collect (Revival and All-New X-Men) are beginning to get on my nerves due to the never ending number of variants. The stories in both are amazing but I'm quickly losing interest in all of the store variants which are flooding the market. To me, it's getting worse than the 90's. The gimmick covers back then might have been ridiculous and print runs astronomical but at least you only had to worry about buying 1 or occasionally 2 copies of a book to have a full run. These days I'm buying half a dozen variants to to each book each month to calm my OCD. This won't last much longer. Time to start focussing on the variants I like rather than needing to be a completionist. All that said, if Marvel decide to have a Jean Grey variant month I'm screwed
  15. This thread has actually inspired me to try and sell my house and buy a new one with enough space for a proper man cave rather than the spare bedroom I currently use.
  16. Bill, That is an amazing room. I wish I could keep my collection so neat and tidy. One thing though, The overall awesomness of the room is severely impacted by all that god-awful Leifeld rubbish you have on show. Other than that one minor detail Good work fella (thumbs u What I collect is awesome. What Leifeld draws is rubbish
  17. I think that now we are past the 1st story arc (And beyond the mythical #4) and readers are still singing it's praise is helping a continual (Although slow), growth in demand. I don't usually flip / speculate so I'm happy in slow and steady growth. All of my multiples have already been off-loaded and I'm happy with a single copy of each book for my collection. It's also good to see the #1 9.8's knocking on the door of $100
