This book is good, but lets not kid ourselves, its got too many variants to be "the next WD"

I finally read issues 1-4 and it was a lot better than I expected. I have been reading this thread for a while and I must admit I felt a lot of the hype was from people who owned 20 copies of issue 1 and wanted to keep building it up. Man was i wrong. Great art and a smooth story have me eagerly waiting for issue 5. If you are on the fence, I say go for it and pick up on the series.

If Riley gets to the point where his interior pages are selling for $1300 a pop, I'm sure he'll be happy.

 

 

On a more serious note, I can understand the need to flip given the hype around the book at the moment - but I can't help but be amused at that price. Well, all power to him!

 

 

This isn't flipping! Our resident West Virginia Lawyer has fallen on economic hardship during the three weeks he has owned the page, and now he has no choice but to ask 5x what he paid for it so that he can put food on the table! At least, that's what the auction says...

 

Then again, the auction description says a LOT of things, many of which are terribly amusing. ;-)

 

One issue in, and he's trying to flip a single page for more than most Chew covers sell for. Ha.

i finally finished a book that had issues 1-46 i believe and all I can say is WOW!! Now i need to find another book (or get trades if i need to) to catch up. This is an amazing series!!
