  1. As someone that appreciates both books for being awesome in their own right, i find it strange that the print run is being used to somehow "beat down" Cerebus and its place in comics history. Marvel is paramount for many if not most posters. I get that. I love Marvel, too. Cerebus was a simple B&W self-published Conan parody book that became a launching pad for the entire alternative comics movement. By its very nature it never would or could have a high print run. It wouldn't have been what it was if it had been distributed everywhere. If Cerebus had been published by Marvel, it probably would have the same value and desirability as Skull the Slayer #1. But it wasn't. Instead it plays a very important part in the history of comics that don't involve superheroes. Will it always be niche and/or tangential to the largest parts of this hobby. Most likely yes. Is its high value (or price if you prefer) bolstered by its low print run? Absolutely. But the fact that not everyone wants one seems a silly reason to denigrate it. It has maintained a high relative value (price) because the number of people that do want it far outweigh the available copies. Can't they both be awesome for what they are?
  2. I have had 6 or 7 181s and I haven't found a Cerebus that I like for the price.
  3. your order seems correct, but I think 'payment window' is typically up to the seller, and usually maybe a week or 2 at most (many/most pay faster)? the '30 day window' is used for the purpose of the probation list, which you can research in another related thread. Sometimes a n00b will ship first and then get paid, to establish some cred. I do not recall anyone having any problem with this, however, there are lots of people that have been burned by sending n00bs scads of money for what look like smokin' deals. It sounds like there may be a lack of communication of basic details in this case, so
  4. Considering how irrelevant Overstreet is, I can't believe that anyone really cares.
  5. Nice! If it was another Expendables book, I was going to frickin' cry.
  6. He hasn't been very autograph friendly for a while, though - when he did that single signing at NYCC back in '11, you needed a wristband & it was limited to 1 item pr. person. Can't remember the last time where it was easy to get a Miller sig ... 2005
  7. Great books, Lloyd!! TP was in usual amazing SD form.
  8. It doesn't need to be discussed. All events are either pre-Sadfan or post-Sadfan. Sadfan is now woven in the fabric and the structure upon which our reality is based. It is ever-present. My favorite part of the whole thing was how how big of a and a dirtbag I was (on Bleeding Cool) for not going to Seattle and getting my own autographs. Man, if they knew how many shows I had books at that I did not attend, they probably would replace Godwin's Law with Sadfan's Law.
  9. He explained to the guy clearly the problem he had with crowds.
  10. Give the details. Send the offender a PM directing him to the PD thread. Wait three days for the awesome sauce to set up.
  11. . I have has infinitely more good experiences than bad.
  12. No he was challenged Sharon/skypinkblu and I spoke to his mummy. At what point does the 454 page thread become worthwhile to read? I want to cut to the chase. Or... is it really a slow build that is worth it? Nothing about that is worth spending any time. I don't know what the PC term is, but I am pretty sure that Justin was special. I blame the Boards less than I do his mom or whoever takes care of him. It was just an awful train wreck where a special kid wore out his welcome because he had no filter and no one was watching what he was doing.
  13. I flipped out about Jason Ewert's auctions (ejaenter or something) and how someone could have that kind of supply of high grade Bronze. Lurked for two years.
  14. It's more like watching a couple of head trauma victims try to hump a rocking horse.
  15. The 20 Billion variants pretty much curbstomped the investment potential of that book.
  16. Getting an opinion from Jeff on a deal gone awry is like having a witch doctor read your MRI.
  17. It probably would have been annoying to have a Daredevil 1 that smelled all vinegary around anyway.
  18. I can't wait for my Falcon book to get to me! Those are great.
  19. Can someone please post the "logic humping" gif? That's the only thing that can complete this fustercluck.
