  1. Like you would have won any of those with me around, sprat.
  2. I immediately went to Beowulf 2, but that is not right. It sucks not being able to see the line work and figure out the artist.
  3. <--------------------------- Frickin Awesome
  4. They are not easy. The tiny Robotman was the kicker for the first one. It gave the perspective that the female was Elasti-Girl. The Nova one, all I had to go on was I thought it was Joe Sinnott. First thing that came to mind was Nova.
  5. The first one is a Doom PAtrol or My Greatest Adventure starring the Doom Patrol
  6. It's good the book arrived, because you took tremendous risk going outside ebay. But how is that book a 9.0+? No idea, I haven't gone in depth with the grading process. To me I would say its around a 8.5. But I will not or cannot say anything for sure. I am not good at that kind of thing. Do I think it's worth the price I paid....well, depends on how rare these actually turn out to be. If these 3 plus the other few I know of turn out to be the only ones, well its totally worth it. If all the other 99 show up...then no, I want a better copy You tell me With migrating rust and all the damage you can see, that is a 6.0-6.5
  7. Reading about Feynman made me think that he was a lot like a real-life Sheldon Cooper.
  8. "Someday, I'll be the comic-book straight man to a cannibalistic Oppenheimer, a rage-fueled drunk Einstein, and Fermi the alien."
  9. Yes you are saying there are a ton of copies at CGC yet to be graded Verified, Scheduled, Graded, Quality Control and Shipped/Safe but not yet recorded in the census. But you agree that she's a solid/safe $750. I know where you stand. My answer may have been to a wider audience though directed at you. so sorry No need to apologize. I was just checking. Your summary shows excellent reading comprehension.
  10. That's not 25 additional submissions. That's 25 completed and shipped additional submissions. There are a ton more there now. People are posting about it all over the place. You are right that there will be a lot of lower grade subs as well, because money. I think the market will be able to absorb these books easily and settle in at $750 or so until something comes along to really goose it up.
  11. Still better than the two copies I sold in February for $275 each. I see raw ones going for more than that. If you bought them and slabbed them, that is still huge profit. Nothing to be sad about. I sold (and traded) a couple of WD 19s in the $200 range before I sold one for $1600. All were profitable.
  12. I would agree with except GPA is only a portion of the market. There are lots more sales than are being reported on GPA. Keep your eye on the census. There are many more 9.8s coming back.
  13. Yeah, that $6 local delivery makes a huge difference. Good call.
