  1. They are nice books. Don't be disappointed for too long. Spend that time honing your grading skills. We all have been where you are. It is very rare for one to be completely happy with one's first submission. Happy collecting!
  2. I liked that scene. I also liked that scene. For people that are unfamiliar with the source material it was how they established an emotional connection to these two characters. For my wife who has no idea who these people are it was an important scene. Without that scene her death would have been meaningless. Now if you have a problem with how the dialogue was written I can understand that. I thought it was also acted well by the two of them. Just a terribly forced scene. Of course it was there to give Amy's later death more emotional impact, but it was just so blatant that that was what they were doing. It came off horrendously. Stilted, forced, and disappointing, especially considering Kirkman himself wrote that episode. My take was that it was an opportunity for them to start to come to terms with the fact that the rest of their families were either dead or zombies (or both, I guess). So, as siblings they maybe would be a little sappy and maudlin reminiscing about dear old most likely dead dad. I'm not disagreeing with your assessment as much as I am going back to the facts that (1) the TV show is going to have to have this type of scene to keep people interested in the characters; (2) the show needs to not wallow in the misery of the situation; and (3) they want lots of people to watch, not just zombie/comic nerds like us that have no problem with the sense of impending doom, because we have been gobbling it up for 80 issues.
  3. You picked the wrong time to be black and white Roy. Your analysis is flawed. The language that the Ill Take It trumps any and all PMs is not ambiguous. They had a PM deal. That PM deal was, by its very nature subject to being trumped by an Ill Take it in the thread, which it was. The way for Green to make his deal untrumpable was to post the Ill Take It in the thread. He chose not to at his own peril. The takeaway that I have from this is that sellers should manage their sales threads as vigilantly as is possible. Had it been my thread, I would have gone and posted the Ill take IT myself ASAP to avoid what happened.
  4. I was getting ready to say something really snide, then I saw that Stan actually contributed to the book.
  5. The best part of that thread is pirate asking how someone gets a custom title. Newbsauce.
  6. Shhhhhhhhhhhh, be vewwy, vewwy quiet, they're hunting wabbits shills . . .
  7. When they put it like that, yes, but it should be OK for them to make the 3% part of the purchase price as long as they do it up front, IMHO.
  8. No, he wasn't. He is notorious for awful placement, so I bet he gets more books with cutouts these days than he does without.
  9. If I hadn't just changed my sig line quote, I would think about switching it to this.
  10. Scott, One more silver lining is that the sketch (while abysmal) is now famous. I actually want it, just like I want the "patience is a virue" sketch. It is famous and iconic, if nothing else, in Board Lore. So you have that going for you, which is nice. I'd stroke a check for $125 for it right now.
  11. I hope it works out for you. (thumbs u
  12. I think there is nothing better than being a snarky a-hole in the This Week Back From CGC thread, so kudos to you. Nobody is saying to be perfect. But pizzing down someone's leg about how screwy they are for getting a DC sketch on a Marvel book is rude. Dissing somebody's book that they are showing off in this thread is rude. Get over yourself.
  13. I think there is nothing better than being a snarky a-hole in the This Week Back From CGC thread, so kudos to you. Shut your trap, troll boy. Adults are speaking.... You crybaby puzzy. Go back to posting about how disappointed you are that your SS books didn't get done. And then go screw yourself. (thumbs u
  14. +1 The condom head is the icing on the cake. I'd get his address, wipe my on it and mail it back to him. That would be awesome. You'd probably get prosecuted for knowingly mailing a biohazard.
  15. Damn, that is cool!! No bindery tears on that book is amazing.
  16. I think there is nothing better than being a snarky a-hole in the This Week Back From CGC thread, so kudos to you.
  17. That is great. I can't wait to get my kelley jones books back!!
  18. I prefer to use the plural "penes" instead. BTW, when confirming the possible plurals for the word DO NOT type "" into Wiki. Just don't. Well, that was the surest way to get me to do it. Thanks, dude. Think of it as a turtle neck, so it doesn't catch a cold. (thumbs u I'll never eat a pig in a blanket again.
