  1. No we shouldn't +1 At the very least, I hereby make a motion that we postpone further consideration of this idea until after I have finished liquidating all my original owner Marvel Team-Ups...which I predict will take at least another 10 years. Okay, I rescind my proposition. Just curious Ed, I don't recall you ever selling 50 cent books here ? In fact, I don't recall any sales thread selling for less than a buck a book. CapFreaks final coup de grace was a quarter book thread.
  2. So GPA for Vampi 1 is $200 for a 5.5 and $265 for a 7.0. That puts the sig premium at $1000 and $1735 on those two sales. Creepy 2 has a $500 sale, so the premium was $700 on that sale Creepy 27 is a $50 book in 9.6 so that premium was $1500 Eerie 5 has a crazy outlier $500 sale, while the last 9.6 went for $90. The sig premium for that sale was either $1000 or $1500 depending upon how you feel about the blue 9.4 sale. So while the $1500 is clearly not a hard and fast rule, it is a pretty good rule of thumb.
  3. There are only 3 9.8s and I have two of them, so you know where most of them are.
  4. Anytime someone says a 200 book lot is all NM that means "I didn't grade any of them, but in the bag they look awesome, so be prepared for disappointment, while i roll around in your sweet, sweet cheddar."
  5. The vast majority of the 2008 books were blue ballpoint pen. Chainnball or one of the attendees could elaborate as the whys and wherefores. Personally, I wouldn't have cared if he had put a crayon in his armpit. --S.

  7. Less flaws are what distinguishes a 9.8 from a 9.6.
  8. This thread IS titled "Auctions." It's a pretty natural mistake.
  9. They were always out there and they were fomented by Chip's own posts. No one wants to be part of someone spiraling down the mental Heath toilet, and no one wants to enable a scammer or dirt bag. Everyone has the right to act, post and do whatever according to their own conscience. That's all Roy is doing. It's an awful situation. If you look at Chip's entire body of work, it is VERY problematic. From someone that has spent days worth of time fighting Roy, I have to say that there is nothing wrong with him continuing to point out that there may be extenuating circumstances. That's his conscience in action. He is no more right or wrong than those who believe that years of evidence of bad deals, bad decisions and problems tell the story.
  10. That is a ripoff of Marvel's Damage Control property.

  12. Impossible for all those not named PENCE!!!!!
  13. That is so awesome. Just fantastic. I can only imagine what was going on to get that done. You are the undisputed King of San Diego.
  14. I would have happily paid those prices. Someone got a great deal. Those are unbelievably weak prices. I don't know what it is going to take for people to understand that the SS market is unique. If you choose venues like C-Link or Heritage you are virtually guaranteed to miss a big chunk of the market.
