$60 ain't too bad. It is a great cover, I have a very nice raw copy, which is also a keeper for me.

Kane/Romita or Kane/Janson?
Tough call which I prefer...
Kane/Romita for me, I think their Spidey run is unparalleled.
-
Does anyone know how long it took Kane to draw a cover? He must have worked 24-7 going by the amount of covers he did.
Ghost Town, you have one stunning collection.

If you want to watch a good game of rugby ( rugby league that is ), Watch Leeds Rhinos v Manley sea eagles on sky sports Friday night. It is for the world club challenge, I usually go, but saving my pennies for the London show, It is usually a great game with a great atmosphere. (thumbs u

Isn't the Giant Size Spider-Man #2 cover by John Romita?
I too was enticed into buying many 1970s Marvel comics by Gil Kane covers when I was a little kid. Often to be disppointed by the horrible art work inside executed by other, lesser artists.
I haven't figured out how to post images here. Somebody please do me a favour and post Marvel Team Up #5, one of the first comics I ever bought. And it has great Gil Kane interior artwork too!!
Giant Size Spider-Man #2 is Kane pencils with Romita inks, at least according to the Grand Comics Database. Spidey's and Chang-Chi's fingers are a dead giveaway for me. link
So is Chi's right foot. (thumbs u

Gil Kane was an essential part of my childhood love of Marvel Comics. His covers conveyed dynamic action better than virtually any other artist. He was prolific, fast and good. The Editors must have loved him even more than I did. I loved his lizards, dinosaurs and monsters the most.
Just for you.

Trying to post some that I have not posted before, going through my Bronze age Marvel books, it looks like every other cover is done by Kane.

That's all now for my Eerie Publications collection. I own about 1/3 of all they published. If you have or know someone who have other than the ones I post in high grade, I'm buying.
Awesome collection, thanks for sharing. (thumbs u

Yeah! They are tough to find in that shape, you have done very well, and they are starting to creep up in price.

I plan on getting a few more pages.

Those westerns are sweet, so hard to find in that kind of shape.... well! Unless your board name is Ghost Town.
I don't think I can say I found these. Maybe I can say "I found them delivered to my door after I sent a check to the kindly dealer who found the books and slabbed the books and offered me the books."
In any case, I'm happy to find them in my boxes now. The Two-Gun Kids have been particularly elusive for me.
No matter how you got them, they are books that just do not show up looking like that, Dale sure came up trumps with them.... I wonder if he could find a 9.6 Monsters on the prowl # 20 for me?
Maybe...I will try to keep on the look at for that issue.
As far as the Westerns, I've got a bunch more of them coming from the same collection. Almost all of them are going to be highest graded. Remarkable collection with unbelievable color strike and gloss and almost everything has white pages or oww.
Thanks Dale, Too bad you are not coming over to the London show, if those books are anything to go by, I would have a field day.

He has been trying to sell the same 9.6 slabs on ebay for years, I know a seller can ask what he likes for his books, but after so long, you think he would get the message.
