  1. I sent x-men #29 that was in a PGX slab 9.2 OW - Came back CGC 9.4 white Star Wars #1 35 Cent variant - both my self and the seller pegged it raw about a 3.5 - came back 6.5 on the downside no "variant' noted on the label despite clearly marking the invoice as variant My missed downgrades were mostly on my first submission, after that it is a 9.8 pre-screen unless it is a key. Never understood slabbing 9.6 or less on bronze and up, unless it is a key, why bother? Even ASM #361 or Hulk #340 or Mononknight #1, etc. So damn common why waste time on 9.6?
  2. Seemed like a good time to pick up an undercopy
  3. $1200 is not enough in my estimation. Keep saving and go for a REALLY big book, AF #15 or Hulk #1 or something silver. Bronze I would consider Marvel Spotlight #5 in 9.8, just so damn rare- it will always be in demand.
  4. The only thing that will get me back into buying new comics is when these clowns lose their copyright. Instead of shaking your fist at the sky it might be beneficial to express your anger at the politicians who keep extending the copyright for DC and Marvel. Dont see how Dracula and Tarzan in the public domain has hurt anything at all. Public domain makes complacent publishers invest in quality writing and art and releases the competitive juices of upstart writers and artists who want create and not follow a template. Look no further than the Walking Dead run that took the zombie character to new heights. I for one would love to see other writers and publishers try their hand at innovating and injecting new ways of thinking into a rather moribund Superman.
  5. There are full runs ToD of 30 and 35 cent with multiples on some issues
  6. I went the first route. So hard for me to pass on great books saving for the one. But I went the consignment route so I had nothing pulling me back. It was a little liberating letting my collection go. If you are disciplined I think option 2 is the best, but you wont regret buying this book either way.
  7. I assume this was an error, but did anyone notice the 1.8 restored in GPA that went for $28 Feb/2020? I wonder if that was for the book....or the trimmings.
  8. Just purchased some early ASM for my run. As always the grading was spot on. The books shipped fast and were professionally packaged to withstand all the rigors the USPS could deliver. A fine gentleman to deal with, as long he is selling I will keep coming back!! Thank You again Jason
  9. Just got a nice brick of ASM books from Brian. Books shipped lightning fast in bomb-proof packing, very professionally packed! He even sent some extra bonus books! To top it all off he is one of the boards great gentlemen, a pleasure to deal with in every way. Thank You Sir
  10. I hope a couple of you "completists" got yours
  11. Ok, so probably not entirely Bronze, but I wanted to post the ASM from this week just once
  12. I think this was a bit of an over-pay. But with only a 7.5 on the census I could not resist. I am a sucker for high grade raw Marvel - the more uncommon the better
  13. I look at it like shipping or the VIG on heritage. Simple formula. My top price - shipping fees, taxes, and Buyer premium = my bid
