  1. Hard to tell from your photo, but I am detecting possible rust on the bottom staple with beginnings of migration? I would want it regraded if I were buying it, it might be a 7.0- 7.5 Definitely not a CPR candidate, but it might give you peace of mind to know if you have 7.0 with an 8.5 label
  2. The staple tear looks like production. They often look rough in a close up
  3. I agree with your 8.0 Very nice wrap, this belongs in a mylar.
  4. I am nothing if not a very contentious poster. But that is not how I conduct my business. I try hard to be courteous and move on. When you start blasting other respected boardies, then I feel free to expose you for what you are. Generally if you get a polite response and no more business, then you may not want to be so public with bashing those who tried to help you. You are doing a terrible job here, just move on before you do even more damage to your bad rep.
  5. Post marked Oct 17th. And Not one word from you about a problem until I told you the post mark. Then you blame the PO. Just not buying your bs.
  6. Are you high? It was post marked the 17th Oct. , I paid you the 26th of Sept. Read what it says dumb-azz. The grading is horrendous, you don't see me buying in the 'greatest thread of all time" do you? I figure a few cheap books to see if you are worth the time, and then done with your garbage. Of all the books I have purchased here I may have returned one. I just don't do it, but I remember well who can and can't grade and who makes the lame azz-excuses. If you are going to run your mouth be prepared to get called on your bs.
  7. Bingo Bought some books from him and they must have been graded from the back of a galloping horse. He invoiced me demanding immediate payment and PayPal - no fee. Then after paying him right away (ignoring his no fee) he took 21 days before he shipped it. Total time waster.
  8. I have a certain fondness for FedEx for a different reason though. I was once sent a job offer and sign-on bonus that was time sensitive. fedEx f'd it up and it took 3 days. It was all right there in the tracking, so I had the documentation the over-night failed. In the meantime another offer came in that was better. I was able to back out of the first offer without fault on me because the offer arrived late. The recruiter was pizzed at FedEx.
  9. UPS chucks and runs. They beat the krap out of things. FedeX either leaves a notice and makes it a real pain to pick up the package or again leaves it out in the open and runs. They are the worst at keeping things in decent shape. USPS holds my mail when requested, is really easy to pick-up when it is at the P.O. and handles the packages the best. It's not even close. I have refused deals when the option of USPS is not available.
  10. The default really goes well with the board name. I am sure Heritage is not so happy, but maybe they should have copyrighted it.
  11. I'm glad it annoys you. It was nice of you to wait a week to start dictating board rules. got it noob. Move over Caltopia we now have Hectopia
  12. The 'Elf' story at the back of several Defenders issues. WTF was that?
  13. Since PayPal bans charging buyers more, then how is it ok to sell here by breaking PP terms of service paypal does not allow using “personal” payments and it is correctly forbidden here. By the same measure PP will not allow you to charge more for a PP payment than other accepted forms of payment. So why is this tolerated here? Just state no PP payments or follow the rules of the service you are using.
  14. USPS has automated postal machines available in the lobby 24 hours a day 365 in the PO near me. They print out a receipt instantly, so no hassles if there is a problem. I work in the middle of the night, so I can drop stuff off on the way to work with no effort.
  15. It is just a single book, but it was interesting to note that the recent sales of ASM #202 showed the signed book take quite a hit. The blue label 9.8 went around $150 more. At some point the larger market will punish the yellow labels for over-saturation relative to clean blue labels. Once a book is signed it can never go back.
  16. it depends by age, but I collect Bronze so unless it is an uber-key: High Grade 9.8-10 Mid grade (VF) 8.0 -9.6 low grade 4.0 - 7.5 less than 4.0 is a reader
  17. Have not even looked at C-Link in at least 2 years. Books going well over GPA wore me out. This one had the low census number to make GPA irrelevant. So my first win in many years.
  18. Picked up a couple of books at a local show today to feed my Atlas Pre Hero addiction
  19. Picked up a few Pre Hero Atlas for the collection today. Always an enjoyable show without the hoopla just a room full of books.
  20. He sent an invoice to me on a prior thread asking for PayPal personal. Uhhh nope, try again. So now the new payment options
