  1. Post your request in the wanted to buy area with price you are willing to pay. Best of luck with your search. Bumping a thread almost 2 years old, not as effective.
  2. You don't know how close that was. I was reading the description because most of their listings seem to say "stock image". You must have hit the "buy it" within seconds because I was reading the description
  3. Someone got themselves a nice deal I hope it was a boardie
  4. Great book and i certainly hope you enjoy it! But I must admit, given your board name it does make me a little sad that this beauty could soon have a scribble on the cover.
  5. Purchased a couple of pre hero books from Bob. Books were shipped fast and safe. Books looked even nicer in hand than described! Bob is a very pleasant person to deal with. I hope to buy from you again!
  6. Did you wait on bitcoin or did you buy that boon doggle high? Things go in both directions.
  7. Both books are over-hyped and over-priced If there is a book one really likes then price is not that big a factor, after all it for ones own enjoyment not ROI. The choice here is an individual decision However, if the goal is ROI, then tread very lightly, as these books are plentiful and there is little room for a significant return. in either case patience would be your friend . Wait for the correction and get both, no choice needed.
  8. See the first post for the rules with one ADDED rule. Please send your shipping address via PM within 1 hour of claiming the book. This all packed and I want to get it out. if not, I will relist. This is a little rough, water damage and a rusty staple. Still a very tough 35 cent variant. These don't come along that often. Thanks for participating!
  9. ASM #156 variant CGC 9.6 goes for $3877. This is 1 of 5 The ASM #159 variant CGC 9.8 that sold on eBay last year went for a paltry $2400, and that was a 1 of 1 and only 2 in 9.6. There are at least 2 fools or a shill on C-link
  10. It won't, it never does. But your premise shows why bubbles continue to happen. There seems to be no shortage of people who look at market corrections as an 'if' rather than the certainty it is.
  11. And PP says they will revoke your account Dump PP or follow the rules Not rocket science
  12. Wolverine did not save Marvel comics, it was Star Wars that saved Marvel comics
  13. You are only looking at the one end of the equation. Supply And demand. Demand is only one half, and you certainly underestimated there, as was pointed out before the reboot SW #1 was the BEST SELLING COMIC BOOK IN 25 YEARS! No Wolverine comic came close to that. the demand for all things Star Wars is clearly there in force. Further the supply on the SW #1 35 cent variant is extremely low. There are periods where not a single copy is listed for sale. Hulk #181 is always available. Any curtailment in demand i.e.: economy takes a little dip or unemployment goes up and both sides of the Hulk #181 equation are going to take a hit. The numbers don't lie, SW #1 35 cent variant is the king of the hill. If a 9.8 ever emerged it would annihilate all records for Bronze 9.8's
  14. if you own one and you bought it at a good price, why not "hold"? It is a great book to own and if you enjoy comics, then just enjoy it/ If someone bought near this current high with thoughts of getting a great return, there could be considerable downside risk in holding on for a 'big return'.
  15. Maybe he said after Tues because there were 3 people in front of you who had already arranged to meet with him? How sure are you that you were the first to contact him? maybe someone said take it from the pictures. It is not clear here that anyone 'undercut' you.
  16. Which is why no one should be "Investing" in anything. Hold your cash and wait for a correction. Thanks for making my point, even with all the negative arrows the SW #1 has not fallen off much. And given the supply and demand it likely won't have that far to fall in the worst of corrections. The Hulk #181 is riding a wave of irrational exuberance with the shore looming.
  17. Beware of the same people who were offering "buy" advice on bitcoin. Prices on Comics are at historic highs. Run don't walk away from buying right now Nice time to be building cash reserves for the inevitable corrections.
  18. So many copies of this book are in the hands of people who have no business tying up their finances in high priced comic books. When the next speed bump hits the economy these books will be for sale everywhere and these same fools who lack the disposable income to buy such an expensive toy will take it in the shorts. I would never buy comic book the way this one is being bought up for speculation, but if you look at supply and demand, the SW #1 35 cent variant will certainly remain as king of the hill. Even the krappy 2015 SW relaunch by Marvel sold the most copies of any book in the last 25 years. The supply of the 35 cent variant is so low, it stands a much better chance of weathering a storm.
  19. These things always go up just like my bitcoin. Yes sir, as soon as my bitcoin hits the price point it is a 9.8 Hulk #181 baby!
