  1. FYI...got word from Kara that Tony will not be doing any appearances at any cons this whole year due to their newborn. But he is doing signings and sketch cards in Kentucky at a LCS. Just thought I'd share that.
  2. Errrrrrr..... next week, #71 comes out . Dang it Jerel. Here I was camping out my LCS for the next issue. Time to pack up my tent and stop stealing the local neighbor's wi-fi. Til next week.
  3. Thanks. I love it, BUT I don't own it anymore. I kick myself in the arse all the time. Sold it to some guy in UK or Canada. Hmmmm, maybe it was Gav and I didn't even know then.
  4. Not anything to do with this thread, although it sometimes goes off track, I made a name change from sonfoywh to firefly which is my gamertag on Halo. Actually, it was fireflyyomama, but I cut it short. Sorry fellas for the confusion and thanks to those who pointed it out. Peace. Julio (thumbs u
  5. An unknown actor... Always great potential and the flexibility to make the character come alive artistically. Awesome! That's what I was hoping for...now as far as his acting, I'm gonna check out Teachers then. (thumbs u
  6. Not if you have good investors in it and I think this awesome story would have no issues with it.
  7. IMO, I would have rather watched a movie...AND not necessarily for cash. I don't know if any of the creators care so much for that more than their creation. The TV show is good also, don't get me wrong, but you could have a flop when not enough money is put into it to fully develop the storyline. What comes to mind is Stephen King, for example. Great books, crappy TV movies and long boring stories developing too much characters. Either media I can do with as long as the integrity of the story is not compromised due to budgeting...then again, movies can be tainted by Hollywood execs big time...would also hate that to spoil such creativity.
  8. maybe he was the easiet to negotiate with. or first one with no prior engagements. or cheapest...this is not going to be an inexpesive project by any stretch of the imagination....and its only going to appeal to a certain public sector...can't see how their gonna make this work and still maintain the comic concept...a movie may well have been a better project canvas than an ongoing tv show I agree. A movie with sequels would have been more ideal, but I remember reading somewhere awhile back that he didn't want to make a movie. Sucks. It would have been awesome and I'm sure someone big would have picked up the project. Wonder what the propaganda will be like for it as I have not seen anything yet.
  9. Jon Bernthal is magnificent in the 2 episodes of "The Pacific" I have seen him in. Also given how much taller he is than the 5' 9"John Seda who he stars with in "The Pacific" I would expect him to be at least 6 feet tall. That makes him a giant next to most actors. Here's a pic of him next to the 6'2" Jerry Rice they look about the same height. Maybe he'll workout more for the part. Looks like a "Jimmy Olson" than a cop. Very excited to see who the rest of them will be.
  10. Yeah, when I first saw the guy, he does seem to be rather scrawny for Shane. Interesting though. Figured they'd get someone more stalky and older. Hope that sort of casting doesn't continue.
  11. Oh, cool. That close to me, huh? I'm in VA. Maybe I'll go and act as a stand in.
