  1. Finally read 100. Man, friggin depressing. Can't wait for the next one. (thumbs u
  2. Actually, it was the display print. No one bothered to ask for it while purchasing the other copies. Never hurts to ask. As always, Jeremy and his wife are freakin awesome peeps. (thumbs u
  3. Voices 1!!!!!! Where's the pic, home slice? Edit: Beautiful. I loved the prints this year. One for me. And one for my little Ella.
  4. +1 I like it too. I'm not referring to the imagery. I don't know who has creative control in that regard. Maybe Kirkman scrips the covers as well? I am just referring to the art. It is.......awful. No detail, inaccurate proportions, bad shadows I do agree the image and what it possibly foreshadows is strong. I'm really wishing Tony was back doing the covers. Indeed, Jeff. +1
  5. Great you went thru it. (thumbs u. Great experience.
  6. I was able to get two nm/m copies. Good stuff. (thumbs u
  7. He must've been the guy I trampled over. Thinking of doing it again. It was a cardio like A mother . Or maybe he was the guy that kept staring at me. Saw Kirkman there. Would have like him to run it. (thumbs u
  8. Contrary to all the whining going on here, I have good news. My buddy and I are running the Escape for free.
  9. It's preference it seems. I don't really enjoy the "wish I could buy that, but..." because it just seems like fluff to me, though I don't think no one's ever posted that in my sale threads before. But I do like the company, as others have stated, the chit chatter, the wishing of luck and most importantly the wise cracks. It does add support, humorous bumping and rapport amongst the community. Having an empty thread could discourage sellers, but life goes on. Either you're too new and just building a reputation, your books really suck monkey balls, etc. Empty threads are good learning tools.
  10. It's rare that we agree on anything, but I'm 100% with Brendan on this point. I can't understand why Kirkman would allow more variants. All they are doing is harming the retailers who need to sell the initial variants solicited by Diamond. Now there's a sketch variant of the Otley cover, a blank cover, a black and red cover and I don't even know who is producing these books, what the print run on these items will be or where to start looking for them. It was in poor taste in my opinion to do this to retailers and fans who have supported the comic over the years. Nobody is forcing you to buy these books. As far as im concerned, retailers should be happy as heck. My LCS makes good money off WD. Upped his order. And more people come into the shop because of walking dead. Fans should be happy that a series they like reached 100 issues and is still going strong. You are 100% right that no one is forcing me to buy them, but I when I actively collect a series I want one copy of ever cover / variant if possible. This is just kind of the icing on the cake, the art has gone down hill a ton the last couple years, and I feel like the story behind the comic just doesn't have a lot really left in it to be told. I will probably wait until the show is back on to take advantage of a better time to sell and unload then. I think most of us agree that a lot of the hype will eventually die down especially once the show runs it course and this would be a good time to sell and reinvest into something else I will enjoy long term like some pre-code horror or some nice silver age books which are hard to go wrong with. Yes, the amount of variants is ridiculous. One reason I stopped trying to collect on one of my favorite all time books is because of multiple covers. If you are the type that has to have every cover, then I can see why this would be an issue. But you can get over it. YET, if you think the art sucks and the story is not doing it for you anymore, then maybe it is time to move onto something else. I was upset back when Tony left the book and still think the current art is . Just what I think. But I still read it. Sure, there are lows and highs, but for a book that is now on the 100th issue...what else could be expected? Hang in there, Brendan. This could just be one of those lows for you in the run and can always change...as a reader. Now, as you being a collector of covers, not sure where this book is going with that, but if this multiple cover stuff is going to be an ongoing thing on a smaller scale, you may be facing further disappointment. As long as I have just one cover to read, it's all good, bro. Give it several more issues and see where it goes. (thumbs u
  11. Dude, just sell the book for whatever price you want. It's your book. I remember several times when peeps PMd me about killing the market on a rare book for just showing multiple copies on a thread. F them. Your're the owner of the book you own and paid for...no one else.
  12. Nice eBay sale Julio! I was watching that one. Didn't have the immediate funds available to snag it. It went to a good boardie. (thumbs u
  13. Good thing I picked some up. LCSs here didn't destroy them.
  14. Relax, man. No one's getting bent out of shape over anything. People are just having fun with his looks. I think we're all looking forward to S3.
  15. I think I just crapped my pants, Michael.
  16. That's the Governor? Well, at least I have Michonne to look forward to.
  17. What's up, Kyle. Will do. (thumbs u
