  1. Amazing!!! Love the 320. What shape are they in?
  2. That was pretty wild. Is that the biggest sale on the board to date? Somehow I doubt it - there have been HG AF15s sold here, just not sure on the exact prices.
  3. In my experience, American editions wound up in Canada most of the time as well as the American versions, so the fact that pemart1966 found an American edition does not prove anything.
  4. Not sure if these count, but this is the closest thing I have to a ticket: aaaand this one!
  5. I'm not sure why you wouldn't consider the two I just picked up keys. They're the respective #1s from both series from the publisher. I'd say he means keys based on the original American content.
  6. That's very cool! I like the alternating placement I am considering investing in a few of those.
  7. Any more rules you'd like to set while you're at it?
  8. True, it could be British. In fact, the address for the publisher on the back does look British. There was a good amount of stuff going back to at least the '50s that was printed in the UK and distributed in Australia as well. (thumbs u It's British for sure. The thing I cannot figure is that the GCD for this title/publisher has only two issues (of 18) listed. Here's a link to one of the partially indexed "Lassie's" - Number 2. Note that it has the same cover as your #6, just a little different colouring. What I find hard to figure is the earlier book (#2) is priced at 8d. This one (#6) is priced at 6d. 2d less for the later book. One possibility is the page count dropped. I note the #8 has a cover blurb announcing 28pp. Nothing on the earlier one (and GCD is of no use here). GCD is pathetically lacking in information on foreign books. They do have some stuff but there's no cross reference for issue content or titles. There's a few foreign hosted sites that have done a much nicer job of that than GCD. Sorry guys, it's a slow and steady process but I am working on indexing and uploading scans for as many titles as I can I've done some great work so far.
  9. Interesting - those appear to be simple Direct editions.
  10. Well, we can all quit collecting comics now
  11. Nice! But watch it, that shelf looks like it's about to come down
  12. I have been having the same problem with CGC for awhile. Would you guys be interested in helping me compile a list for CGC to reference? CGC's quality control im afraid when it comes to foreigns is cr_ap lately! Such an amazing book and all they had to do was look at the indicia and see La Prensa publishing? Also it doesn't say "Mexican edition"? WTF guys..... honestly if I was Hector I might consider this needing to be re-holdered? Highly important info is completely missing? Also this probably jacks up the census because I know I have seen a La Prensa FF1 properly identified. GCG needs a foreign expert sooner rather than later..... this books handling is shameful. Liam, I like the idea of providing CGC with some lists or database info but there should be something in it for you son, dont do this for free! I would definitely like to discuss something with them, but I certainly can't qualify myself as an expert in the field at this point. I think we could put together a small team that covers a wide variety of areas of foreign comics and see what we can provide them that would be easily accessible and understandable to their average grader.
