  1. Thor 266 $4, 268 $3, 271 $4, 273 $4 264 $4 SOLD
  2. Thor 255 $2 257 $2 (I took close ups of date stamps on these issues only for some reason, but note corner on 257 as well) BOTH SOLD
  3. Hello hello. I am going to dedicate a thread to THOR Iron Man! Yeah, that's the ticket, Iron Man. There is no rhyme or reasoning to why photos vary from 1 to 4 comics in each photo...I contain multitudes. Listings will be similarly quixotic with books priced individually or a few at a time, even I don't know what is going to happen there! Books start out in the VG range and get minty at the end, if you have questions please ask. Every issue will have front and back photos. Yeah, that was fun. Payment is paypal, check. MO or cash. You can pick up in NJ or ship with the method up to you and you will pay cost on label. PM any questions and complaints, returns within a week of receipt of item with returner paying shipping again - it won't come to that though as they usually are no problems and if there are I am flexible and not petty. Economy Joe is no longer here, he's well good and gone and my mojo has returned so it is all no worries once again. no HoS, Probies or those on my ignore list (don't worry, it isn't you...those suckas don't buy comics but just in case). I think that covers everything, so without further eloquence...
  4. possible, but probable? maybe a 1/6 chance but I haven't done the math
  5. I have been planning to make an all Thor thread in G/S/B and perhaps an all Savage Dragon thread in Copper/Modern and am mostly ready to do so. So hopefully this weekend we will see the debut of at least of these threads, Thor should have most issues from 200-350 when I would switch to C/M for the next 100 or so issues of the title. Savage Dragon would go have most issues from 90-115 or so and some earlier ones as well. Anyway, if that interests you keep an eye out. I don't seem to be having much luck selling here compared to years past but it is a good place to organize and stage things if nothing else. Have a great Friday people.
  6. oh geez, sad news indeed RIP Alan Grant
  7. I don't usually do tat for tat anymore, but this was fun and I started by trying to help for the forum's sake. I thought that was the goal. We can snark all day (how is it tasting @The Meta?) but I will stop now. I will accept parting shots out of fairness but will (hopefully) refrain from commenting anymore on this particular poll.
  8. despite your denials, there is hope yet! You have learned since if you have a 1) you should have a 2)! This is growth here! the fruit of herculean labors! 1. Should the rule listed below be added to the Marketplace area of the forum or is no new rule needed?
  9. OK I’ll lay off I thought you were interested in doing it so you would be interested in doing it better and that’s very snarky but the truth. I am interested in the process of test construction I’m not interested in that application to the board as much
  10. I cannot read the notes on your photo, so I no know what going on.
  11. I do understand. I could easily have replied "I dare you to..." at any time. ("I dare you to make the choices 100% of possible options" etc) I am trying to share my knowledge of test construction in the chance you are interested in improving the polls you obviously enjoy making. I have written multiple choice tests and undergone item analysis, not in many moons but I have done so. You seem to enjoy making them and isn't feedback critical to the process? I was just replying this morning to your own post about being overly snarky. It is a shaping process. Less is more in my opinion. Less words to be interpreted means more valid results. Satisfy the scientific process, not the people taking the poll. I did hide my earliest response so as to not skew the results or threadkrap. I hid it well before it got quoted I think, so must be a boardie of the year trick to have it resurrected. so for example, I may have done 1st poll "a proposed rule for consignment books, pre-orders, books not back from cgc and other situations where books are not in possession of the person listing them for sale" a) hardfast rule, you must be in possession of all books listed for sale b) exceptions should be made, a softer rule should be formed that allows for exceptions. c) no rule is needed Then if b gets votes, a poll for exceptions to the rule blah blah blah a) only books at cgc - any label b) only SS books Not being a spoon, just wanted to give an example
  12. so if the rules do not apply to SS, why not leave the ambiguity about ss books out of the final rule? Then the rule would read much more simply and SS can ignore it as they do without issue. (I am talking about the "final" rule if there is one, not the poll Q.)
  13. well, if there ain't no problems I guess they handle their business. I knew original art was somewhat exempt for selling rules but did not know about SS. well, I've learned my thing for the day, let ignorance reign for the next 23 hours.
  14. this is why I questioned it's inclusion in the poll, the ambiguity here hurts the poll validity and reliability.
  15. You do seem VERY defensive about it. I was thinking about replying as Scarlet Witch...this is me being reasonable. I am not being mean.
  16. I don't do SS so this seems off to me as well. Aren't those books coming back from cgc just like non-SS books? Or more clearly, there is no legit reason to not have books in hand if you are selling so why exempt the SS?
  17. far fewer votes this time around (so far) and the dr balls book is now available again after all this work, isn't it?
  18. mike mentioned the low turn out for the last poll compared to overall number of users, which is a valid point. I wonder what # of boardies would have to vote to make a poll a sound sample size?
  19. someone tried to organize a prize thread the first time around, it didn't seem to go well. Most went unclaimed it seemed for some time but I wasn't really paying attention.
  20. Item analysis is required during any test construction and is a required element for a valid poll/test item. The process is a bit of a crucible but matters and makes for more reliable results. As long as the poll has choices that cover all possible outcomes it should be okay. Where you parse lines is up to the poll developer but it should always include all possibility among the choices. A simple,,,is it an issue yes/no. If yes, then another question. Perhaps? and offered respectfully. Test construction is a spoon but item analysis is important.
