  1. one survey says buyer not shipping the books, should say seller
  2. Keeping up with movie related comics constant price changes. And finding new stock at a good price. I'll go do the survey now.
  3. I am not sure you gave enough info on the specific issues, at least not for me to give an opinion.
  4. Just pirate and solar boy going back-and-forth a little don’t be a Richard And a little I have a disorder that makes me not understand stupid people then a little don’t make fun of the disabled with a little you’re stupid thrown in
  5. I no longer get toasted myself, so warming up to the bread...ah there's a good joke in there somewhere!
  6. I didn't get the ebay bucks offer! And I have a counter offer sitting in my inbox, waiting for the right time for me to accept it!
  7. I bought these comics not too long ago, X-Men #99 pence copy.
  8. I have not had any luck figuring out the auctions but I don't pay them much mind as I have no intention of spending an hour looking at the feed to see what books are going for. I am making my first purchase of comics from FB though, I have a message in to buy two issues of ToS. We'll see how that goes. Selling continues to go well although the amount of trade requests is dizzying. I was listening to a trade offer from one person about my ASM300 & 301 slabs and at one point he told me not to overvalue my books and undervalue his, then he did that to me in the same post! I have my books at gpa or slightly under so I told him the gpa value and that I was no longer interested. That feeling was compounded when he kept working for a trade and showed me his Next Men 21 8.0 valued at $100 but it was raw.
  9. The quickest way is to give a few clues to your location. Board sleuths will figure it out and be at your door trying to get dem comics lickety-split.
  10. I tried this for the first time recently. I was kidding my daughter that I bought the bread for her and she was like "WHITE BREAD?" It has a slightly tacky feel to it pulling off the comic but I did not have much luck really removing dark dirt. And crumbs were everywhere!
  11. I shouldn't have just focused on yesterday's threads, there were a few from the days prior that had surprised me as well. Books at the top of gpa is one thing, it is another to tack 15-25% of top of highest sale ever on gpa or most recent sale-that is a whole 'nother level of ask. Sellers can ask whatever they want and I have priced some books over fmv at times (much more common when I was a noob seller though). I feel badly when I price a slab at top of gpa but I guess if you sell one whopper it reinforces that tendency! The books I was talking about remain unsold though for the most part. Maybe I was just mad at myself for looking at certain seller's threads despite knowing that I never buy due to what I feel is consistently (very) high pricing. One day it will be a book that grabs me though, we all know how that happens.
  12. Geez, some very ambitious pricing going on tonight! I have ducked out of two threads now with sticker shock. I know gpa isn't the end-all-be-all of pricing but c'mon now!
  13. I also thought that the bar code was the sure fire way to tell, interesting. Luckily it DOES say 2nd print on the cover!
  14. Says the guy who sold one Super Mario game for $100K!
  15. I went to a comic show today and a few people mentioned this being an excellent movie. One dealer in his 60s (maybe late 50s) was very enthusiastic and said his non comic loving wife liked the movie as well.
  16. When it truly comes time to let it all go I expect that will be because I am dead. So I have told the wife to go with CC as Vinnie Z. has been a gentleman to the family. I too have sold on comiclink and the lower tier stuff (mostly what I have) does poorly in my experience. I sell all the time, constantly in fact, on ebay and on here and recently began on FB as well. But the stuff I keep should go to an auction house when I kick it as it is just a hassle for the family to deal with.
  17. That is sweet! I have 4 at cgc now so I should be able to fill up one side of my rack with just Planet Comics and start on the other side a swell when they all get here. Here is where it stands now.
