  1. Well if there's a nuclear winter and I need to read IG or TQ I know who to call K.
  2. You know how the movie industry is. They don't have to strictly follow the storyline from comics. They can do whatever they like. I think Aunt May would be a good sub for Silver Surfer . K.
  3. An amazing experience! Great books, INCREDIBLE price, and the books were shipped right away. I would definitely buy from PhoKing again!! K.
  4. WTF!! What am I missing?? Amazing Spider-Man #301 CGC 9.8 Silver Sable McFarlane Marvel Copper Age Comic Sold for - $921.99 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spider-Man-301-CGC-9-8-Silver-Sable-McFarlane-Marvel-Copper-Age-Comic-/201082617012 K.
  5. did anyone notice the feedback on the Marvel Preview #4 he sold - accused of shilling. if you look at the listing he says CGC 9.8 but the book is 9.4 etc. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=astridonna&&_trksid=p2047675.l2560&rt=nc&iid=281324186281&sspagename=VIP:feedback&ftab=FeedbackAsSeller shouldn't someone just go ahead an add this guy to the HOS? What a complete dirt bag! It's bad enough that he has no scruples when conducting business but he continues to try to fly under the radar by apologizing for his "dirt bagginess" on the boards and by changing his user handle here and on eBay. Not only should he be added to the HOS but anyone who's been hosed by him on eBay should file complaints so his account is flagged/shut down. K.
  6. I accidentally posted this in the Modern forums but it seems more appropriate here - What's going on with ASM 202 CGC 9.8? It just sold for over $1100 last night! Seems really, really high. http://www.ebay.com/itm/321210595356?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 K.

  8. She's back, this time half the price of what it was listed at a month back: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASM-Amazing-Spider-man-678-1-50-Venom-Variant-CGC-SS-9-8-Stan-Lee-1-1-/160907297502?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2576d282de&ssPageName=RSS:B:SHOP:US:101 K.
  9. He could rotate through the list and distribute at no premium, as a bonus to the customers that fund this venture in the first place. Just a thought. If you feel you can do it better, by all means go ahead. If not, I'm not sure trying to trash Dre on the boards is going to help your cause, whatever that may be. He has a wide customer base for a reason - he delivers where others can't. K.
  10. I can tell you that I've been a subscriber of Dre's for years (closing on three to be exact). On occasion, I end up dealing with other dealers that also frequent the cons like Dre does, looking for the hard-to-find exclusives such as the Bedlam NYCC variant. Getting a response from Dre is A LOT faster than getting one from the other dealers. I'm not saying the other dealers are not customer service-focused but at the end of the day, I realize they're not the the Apple Store where there are literally hundreds of salespeople fawning over me. It would be nice, sure but these subscription services are usually one-man shows. It may be tough to sit and wait to hear back via PM while a con is going on (or even a week after a con) but when you have someone as reliable and thorough as Dre, rest assured you haven't been forgotten. My 2cents from my own experience. K.
  11. Yup, I bought them already...now to hunt that variant for the price you mentioned because that's outrageously cheap I'm one of those suckers for variants. I'm trying as best as i can to get all ASM's including variants (some will be near impossible though) That use to be me, but I sold the majority of my variants to start saving to get a copy of AF #15. variants just don't hold their value so I will just get the cheap affordable variants that I like. Happy hunting though. I'm not really in this for the $ aspect as much as I am for collecting "all" asm issues. Life long goal for sure, but i'd love the day i could say i own every ASM book normal and variants. In general though, i try not to overpay for my books as I have a real good relationship with some LCS and dealers to get variants as a decent price. This will be my first 1:700...in fact, has there ever been another 1:700 or higher? I'm a huge Spidey fan and I was hoping to collect all the variants, 2nd printings, and convention exclusive issues. But it just became too much and I gave up. My focus is not the 8 issues I'm missing form the Ditko issues and I will be content with missing most of the variant covers. I can't remember a 1 in 700 ratio cover for any comic in recent memory. Good luck though. I'm in the same boat, trying to collect "everything" ASM. My problem is they're mostly graded 9.8, majorly impacting my wallet K. I have about 10 CGC spidey books. Majority of my collection is raw. I have #17-695 and all the Annuals. I'm only missing 1,2,3,4,7,11,14 & 16. I'd like to get my favorite covers CGC'd and all key 1st villains appearances. Getting all the entire run in a high grade may cost me my Marriage. Lucky me, I'm divorced K.

  13. I tend to agree. Is ur collection in the Registry? Having a full modern run should be shown off K.
  14. I doubt it. I think the $1000 sale was to someone who really, really wanted it. I don't think many collectors would jump onboard to grab one at that price again. But that's just my opinion. K.
  15. And now, we've gone from "waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too much" to simply "crazy money": http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASM-Amazing-Spider-man-678-1-50-Venom-Variant-CGC-SS-9-8-Stan-Lee-1-1-/160888133279?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2575ae169f&ssPageName=RSS:B:SHOP:US:101 K.
  16. That really is surprising! I didn't think this particular variant would be in such demand. Lucky for me, I have it graded 9.8 K.
  17. All the ones left in my sales thread Do you have a link to your sales thread? K.
