  1. Related to Jake "Buddy" Saunders?
  2. It's old high school sorority - someone was invited and was through the hazing before joining the sisterhood. Some were different without hazing. Some preferred girls who considered "Elite" in the group. It died out in 1960's. My mother told me about it a little bit and was a homecoming queen. Her class of '59.
  3. I am still thinking about one or two books. Wait and see if there are any more magics out there.
  4. Oh my Gosh! It seemed eternal! Too many bad people out there. Thanks for the info.
  5. Thanks. The buyer isn't on the list.
  6. Where can I find the most recently updated list here? The first post is 6 years old. The buyer just bought my book. I checked his fb. He has 10 negatives as being the seller but he never left a neg for others. Do you have powerhouse716 or Power House System here?
  7. Yes, it's first time that he has them graded for years!
  8. Last four years, I watched and bid them but I never saw a single CGC graded book. Just wondered why.
  9. 20% Buyer's Premium or 18% with Cash or Check. I won two items back in 2016. Most of them are overgraded so I don't bid them aggressively on their inconsistent grading. Those bidders are pretty aggressive against my bids so I haven't won anything ever since. I remembered raw copy of Detective Comics #31 in 2018. The cover was completely split and the centerfold was detached. The back cover was torn in half. One small ad was cut out. I would see tiny pieces falling out of the brittle pages in that picture. It was sold for $19,700 before the buyer's premium. Also my understanding is that Phil Weiss has a good relationship with Joe Kubert's family. He sold multiple original arts of their late father.
  10. I prefer eBay deducts money right away after the item is sold rather than invoicing next month. Esty gets the fund first then deducts the seller fee and tax after it is paid before releasing remaining fund to the seller. The seller will transfer the fund from PayPal or other financial institutions to the bank account. I never saw the incoming invoices from Esty. It's convenience. eBay suspends sellers for non-payments after three invoices or more.
  11. I am sorry that buyer is pain in butt. What does the buyer want from you?
  12. It's possible that New England will get the snowstorm this weekend.
  13. Not on eBay. To my ignorance in GGA, (NOW I am overly educated) at the estate sale, I bought a batch of 40 Golden Age comic books in a plastic Sara wrap because there were three PCH copies I went for. All of them are GD condition but I made about $250. Nearly all are GA animal funnies so I sold them for about $250 - not badly. One biggest mistake I ever made in my life, yep I sold VG Archie #50 copy to the boardie here (that was in 2016) for only $75. The boardie wanted to make sure that $75 was correct. I told him "yes" twice. He bought it and was very thrilled about it. Of course he didn't tell me until he showed it off here for week by week. I was wonderstuck for two months not even knowing what the headlights were. Finally I realized that I sold it TOO cheap. Lesson learned. Well, I bought that batch for only $40 and sold all of them included Archie #50 for $575 that should have gone double. Oh well.
