  1. Magazine size is 8 3/8” x 10 7/8". Marvel Treasury Edition is 10" x 14". Life Magazine is 10-7/16” x 13-5/16” to a minimum size of 10-3/16” x 13-1/16” (and everything in between). All I know is that CGC can do comic book magazines and Sport Illustrated and Playboy magazine from 1953 to present. I really don't know if they will able to encapsulate oversized books like Life Magazine and Treasury. I never have seen one. You need to call CGC.
  2. @jsilverjanet Hey Hector...which service did you use to receive your batch of graded comic books recently? USPS, FedEx or UPS?
  3. Call and ASL? You mean American Sign Language so make a call then sign in ASL while on the phone? Hmmm.
  4. I have a better idea. Which service did they use? USPS, UPS or FedEx? Which company did they damage the packages mostly? I think UPS damages mostly. At one point, the box was torn open then was taped after I picked it up at UPS hub few years ago. I opened and checked one book - Hulk #181 CGC 7.5. It survived. It's rare to see the damaged boxes were delivered by USPS or FedEx to my home. FedEx will deliver my books to my home this Monday. See what happens. I work for UPS and have seen people are roughing on the packages. Right now, it is in a high seasonal toward Xmas. My hourly schedule is now expanding due to the high volume. I expected to see more damaged boxes. Maybe, 25 books in one package is damage-prone. Mine is only 6 books. Wait and see. I will tell you when I receive my books.
  5. I am ok that you disagreed with me. That is good that you are aware of the circumstance. I think it was one incident but CGC is always willing to correct or fix their mistakes at no charge. I never have a problem with their service - it's still outstanding for a long time. I am still loyal to the company. It's odd that customer irritated/hassled them and eventually received some damaged magazines inside the encapsulation cases. Was it coincidence or conscience? Was he banned for being harassment or abusive?
  6. What's about Golden, Silver and Bronze age comic books? All I see are Modern here so far. That magazine is an old news because the customer yelled at CGC for too slow so CGC rushed them for him so he paid his price.
  7. Hi there...Nope to shameful members of HOS/Prohibition list. I have a short box of Micronauts #1-59 & Annual #1-2 (nearly all NM- or better), Micronauts #1-5 Special Edition (NM), X-Men and Micronauts #1-4 (NM- or better) and Micronauts New Voyages #1-20 (NM). There are 9 extra copies in #1-59. I used 2016 OSPG - for all of those books is about $429 value (I bet it is little more value in 2018 OSPG). It is my loss your gain if I overlook more value. You may find some hidden gems or NM/M copies. Micronauts movie is coming in 2020. Rules - Trump by posting "Take it" or PM with the time stamp. Payments - I will accept either Personal Check or PayPal. Shipping - It will be about 18 pounds before I pack with the extra protection. It will be either FedEx or USPS. It depends on your location. It will be around $20-30. You can give me your zip code and I will calculate it for you. For International - PM me please. The price is $250 or about $2.55 per copy. NOW $225!
  8. Then don't fear CGC. You won't be regretted in your lifetime. I suggested you to keep it for about five to ten years. It will go up every year. FF #1 will be scarce. Maybe you should bring it to CGC booth at the show. They will not crack the case but they will inspect it for you. It's your judgement and follow your instinct. Good luck with your book.
  9. Oh boy. I just found out that I have 5/6 books were graded at 9.8 and were shipped today. Now, I am getting nervous about it. Some of you have issued with the inner wells. I may face it. Not good!
  10. You are not alone. Others have same problems. I think the few new employees in Encapsulation area made mistakes (I saw job ads that CGC was looking for someone to be filled in few positions in Quality Control).
  11. I verified your book is original. Nothing was tampered. You can see my books with Michael Bendis' signatures - Jinx Torso books.
  12. Well, it may be turned off buyers if you re-sell it. FYI, it has foxing stains. Mold is grey/black and smelly.
  13. Try this one. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/04/12/cgc-insider-8-effect-staining-comic-book-grading/
