  1. How many colors does it require to function the hologram? I think yellow, orange, green and blue are working together to make the reflections in that hologram.
  2. We are now 543rd page. Are they getting slow or fast at this time? I think they get slower right now. I haven't sent anything since April plus four coupons are yet to be used. I will wait two weeks or more after NYCC.
  3. It is really small but there were so many incredible LOW prices!!! Cheap rates for the booths are perfect for the small time local comic dealers.
  4. Dupage? Did I miss you there? Frankly yes. Next ones are in January here and in February in Milwaukee.
  5. Yesterday, I picked them up at the small comic convention. Paid for only $5. Asked him if he was aware of NM #98. He was not surprised at all and told me that he was selling the remaining long boxes before he will retire. He didn't care about them. He showed me the pictures of himself holding Tec #27 and #35. Oh holy cow! He has #1 to #35. Asked him if he is going to sell his Tec collection. He will but doesn't know when. Cool humble guy! I checked every book. They are unread and MINTY!!!
  6. I sold Bone #1 CGC 9.0 SS Off White to White for $750 last year. I knew the price will rise on Bone #1 in someday until now. It gets hard and harder to find it on ebay today than few years ago.
  7. I'm unaware of any DC war books amongst the Church collection. There WERE comics that Church purchased as late as 1962 (and a few later?), but the runs petered out quite a bit by the mid-50s as I recall. . .and I don't know of a single Church copy of ANY DC war book much less an OAAW 83. That WOULD be cool, though, if it DID exist. Edgar Church passed away in 1978. Chuck Rozanski purchased his entire collection from his children who had little knowledge in the comic books but wanted his house to be sold immediately before the value went down due to the ethical people moving in his old neighborhood. Edgar was 90 years old and was probably in a caring home. He was too old to tell his children about his collection. He collected the comic book in 1930's until 1950's. OAAW #83 was printed in 1959. I doubt that he collected the war comics not even EC Comics. He may be a religious person. Who knows. You can always ask Chuck. He was slowly selling the entire collection one by one for ten years. I am sure that he may remember most of it.
  8. So far, the highest one is 9.0 that we never see it in the public. We know that Keith Marlow sold his 8.0 for $16K few years ago. That was the second single highest at 8.0.
  9. Yes, Salida. It's certainly possible that there was a Bethlehem copy. What grade is the Salida? Maybe Oakland and Mass Pedigrees. They used to collect many war issues but I think they collected them in late 60's. OAAW 83 was printed in 1959.
  10. Opps. I thought a real duck here only.
  11. $114.99 That is what I am afraid to lose the money in few months after the purchase.
  12. Oh Gosh! The Conan completist! What a beauty collection with all of your hard work.
  13. I take Disney stock long-term over them. Disney has been very good to me! +1 I'm at +168% return on my Disney stock. That plus the dividend. I love trading stock. But I only go for long term investment. Always look at dividend. Stocks with no dividend is a no go for me. (Of course look at other stuff too) Just bought some SEAS stock. The massive drop is a dream for long term investment. Dividend over 4% and the stock will adjust upwards in a couple of months. (I could be wrong, but that's the risk. Even if I think minimum risk on this one.) With Disney owning Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and ESPN the future looks good. (thumbs u What is the name of the stock that Disney owns? I prefer this one over Alibaba.
  14. I have Spectacular Spider-Man #9 double cover. It's NM condition. I will plan to submit it to CGC whenever I can.
  15. Graders do not go to most shows unless it is on-site grading. CSRs being away doesn't help what you want. The graders are going to the shows too. I talked with the leader at the show last April. The half stays and other half go. Yup that is correct at the upcoming Pittsburgh show next weekend half the graders will be there. I think there are only four grading onsite this year: Mega Con (Florida), Philadelphia, Chicago and Baltimore. Chicago is the only one that has four day show. The cutoff is Saturday early afternoon. The rest are lasting only three days. I think the cutoff is Friday night so no one can pick up their books after the cutoff. Pretty pressure upon the graders. I always thought it made more sense to have two teams. "A" team will go to the show. "B" team will stay at CGC building. Next show, "B" will go there while "A" team stays. All turnarounds will never be delayed. Paying the fast track fee is nonsense.

  17. I checked the first post on this thread. There was usually 100+ business days turnaroud. The few last posts showed 40 to 60 business days turnaround during the high peak this year. The first post was back in 2012. It shows little improvement on the time management. I think CGC still needs hiring more people to speed up the process. Maybe they need two teams. One team will be at the show while other team stay at the building in Sarasota. It will never delay on all turnarounds again. I have only one book that was mailed recently to my dealer. Wait until the high seasonal is over then I will send my books in November. I don't have to wait or keep checking on my order status.
  18. You are not alone. I had the same reason and didn't look back. Gladly I did. Thanks for reminding me how I ended up here ever since. That banner ad led me here. Thanks CGC.
  19. Not bad. It is better than three years ago (8 to 12 weeks waiting).
  20. Will it work on PC or Mac? That is a N00B question!
  21. CGC Census shows 149 graded comic books for Cerebus #1. Whooping 6842 graded books for Hulk #181. Many raw grade copies are always selling on ebay everyday. From 9.9 to 9.0, there are 1851 graded books for Hulk #181 included Qualified, SS and Restored. There are only 2 at 9.4 and 4 at 9.0, 3 at 9.4 SS, 3 at 9.2 SS, 5 at 9.0 SS and one restored at 9.0. That is the total of 18. How often do you see Cerebus #1 on eBay? Not very often. I sold one raw grade copy and three CGC copies of Cerebus #1 since 2009. I sold Hulk #181 seven times since 2009. Right now, it is too expensive to buy Hulk #181 at any grade - too many competitors are after it. MSC recently sold Hulk #181 1.0 for $375, 1.5 for $450 and 3.0 for $750. I would afford Cerebus #1 because of the few competitors. I bought it for only $325 and got CGC 7.5 that was sold for $665 via Comiclink last year. So few high grade Cerebus copies are hardest to get. You won't see them for a long time. I can understand why Overstreet gave Cerebus the high value over Hulk 181 because of rarity in high grade. I have no problem to find Hulk #181 between 9.0 to 9.6 anywhere at anytime.
