  1. sorry not saying in any way that I like the newton rings or the poor service-I just don't think CGC cares as long as they still get paid. How much would it cost them if they had to correctly fix the newton ring problem? AND replace all the X-jobs they have already released? The stated policy that it's just fine and dandy shows that they are unwilling to spend the amount of money needed.
  2. and GCD refers to this as Kung Fu Special
  3. here's a few to consider. some are digests though Alf Comics Magazine Marvel Graphic Novels-various Epic Graphic Novels-various Fun And Games Magazine G.I. Joe Comics Magazine Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade https://www.comics.org/series/21534/ Spider-Man Comics Magazine Star Comics Magazine Transformers Comics Magazine
  4. you should slab them all first to maximize your windfall.
  5. just found this by accident-very cool history
  6. thanks for pointing out the Psycho-did the ad for the Hell Rider show the cover perhaps?
  7. Just noticed the cover at the bottom on the back cover of Hell Rider #1 (Skywald-1971)-according to GCD -never published
  8. Ahhh census numbers. So huge for some books. How many raw copies of these books are still out there? The prints runs on books from late 60s on were enormous, and only increased before that bubble almost popped for good in the 90s. Incredible Hulk 181 (1974)-15,262 slabbed copies total, 2851 with the number grade 9.0-9.6, 144 in 9.8 and above. Werewolf By Night 32 (1975)-4422 slabbed copies total, 957 in 9.0-9.6, 19 in 9.8 and above. Amazing Spider-Man 300 (1988)-28,149 slabbed copies total, 16,790 in 9.0-9.6, 1526 in 9.8 and above. New Mutants 98 (1991)-22,848 slabbed copies total, 14,532 in 9.0-9.6, 4253 in 9.8 and above. My point is that paying increasing amounts of nosebleed money for a number that represents a subjective grade on a comic holder is not going to have a good ending. How many ticks on a cover separate a 9.0 from a 9.8.? How many "should be" 9.4s do you see graded as 9.8s? Then throw in the spec rumors firing up any given first appearance of any tier 5 character/villain that noone gave two FFs about the week before, with all copies of said book disappearing overnight from ebay and other vendors. Rinse. Repeat. Insanity. [My opinion-spend your time and money any way you like if it lets you enjoy the hobby]
  9. I know where I'm standing. I'm just amazed how much money is being spent on comics that are not rare in high grade. People actually think that huge stockpiles of these books have just disappeared in one month and are hard to come by. If these were scarce pre-code books that you might never see another copy of I would understand, but some of these prices are just atomic hype-inflated foolishness.
  10. I hope you naturally let your little boy grow up and mature at the normal rate-not the steroid manipulated rate represented by auctions like these.
  11. insanity-on the cheap not even 2 years ago
  12. yeah kinda meh-just the whole story of them DeBountyHuntering Boba Fett was not going to have an exciting ending.
