  1. Yeah, kind of what I was calculating, but I'm not the greatest at it yet so thanks for the second opinion. It looks very nice but unfortunately has a lot of very small imperfections that add up, and not stuff a press or clean and help with. I might submit it anyway, because it's iconic and getting two iconic sigs on it would just be a cool addition to the collection.
  2. Thinking about sending this off for the Tom DeFalco/Ron Frenzy signing.
  3. I have a book there getting his signature as well, and he apparently has signed it and it's moving into the grading process so still six or so weeks for mine anyway so I would guess probably about the same. Seems like his signatures were a lot slower than Ramos and Delgado.
  4. Pretty excited to get this in the mail today. Really happy to see the 9.8 as well. I knew it would be close but there was some bends in it that I wasn't sure of pressing would get rid of, so it was nice to see you did. Getting a Ramos and Delgado signing combo for my first book makes my day. Ramos is in my top 5 favorite artists, and this book is so good.
  5. I would contact them directly to see if it's an option, but if you are also waiting on it to get signed by Austin along w/Claremont, based on my recent interactions, at best you'll lose the Austin sig and they'll move your book to this one, or if it's already in progress with the other one, I personally doubt they'll give you any help. I have a book there, physically at their building that allegedly just began the grading process (absolutely nothing in its status suggests this, it hasn't even hit an update that it's been signed just shows it as received) and was told that they can't keep it there for the Dave Michelinie/Bob Sharen signing which has a deadline 6 weeks from now, which is what they told me it would be for the book currently. Despite all that, and it being there WHEN needed, they said "well hopefully it gets back to you in time to throw it right back in the mailbox and send it back in. Go ahead and fill out the form." Even offered to pay extra for a fast track on the grading process, they apparently don't do that for sig series. Why? Who knows. I've never encountered a company who was so against me giving them another 200 bucks.
  6. How would that work? Austin isn't part of the other Claremont signing AKA The Wolverine signing, and they haven't moved him into that group due to the delay. After the response I got regarding trying to get something into another signing I don't really see them doing anything but saying good luck we hope your books get back in time and send them in when you get them.
  7. That's better than I assumed, and based off what I've read on the boards you seem to know your stuff. I'll be submitting this soon and I'll definitely post the results here to add to your score in the grading competition! Regardless of the grade it ends up getting though I'm really happy with this book because it just looks so nice and I've been after it for a while and found this copy for an incredibly low price.
  8. Going to possibly submit this but would like some feedback first. Also if you feel this would benefit from a cleaning and pressing, that would be cool to know as well.
  9. Thinking of submitting this for the Jenny Frison signing series. I'm guessing it's out of the running for a 9.8. I left out photos of the back because there are no flaws there. The bottom right seems almost to be more of a manufacturer's defect.
  10. Never thought I'd actually be able to get this book signed. Got it for an extremely good price, well under FMV. I was really stoked to get it at a decent grade with an intact spine, really difficult to find with this book. On top of that, it's never had a press or cleaning so I'm sending it off to Avery prior to submitting. As it stands, there's only 43 signed series copies of this book out there! 5 copies at a 5.5, 0 at 6 and 5 at 6.5. I've been building a Dr Doom vs Everybody collection and this is my (attainable) crown jewel. Getting this signature is a dream come true. And even more bonus, I have the ASM 700 Skyline cover (one with all the artist/writers names on it) there for the Slott)Ramos/Delgado signing and I'm getting that tagged by Thomas as well! Sorry for the babble, most of my real life friends aren't into this aspect of comics!
  11. Again thanks for the sigseries email. I just got the official word from support that a listed deadline means physically there by that date at the latest.
  12. Thanks for that advice. There's a lot of info regarding CGC and I hadn't stumbled across their direct email for the signature series. Thank you that helps quite a bit!
  13. Yeah, tried but no response yet. Was hoping someone might have a little more info that is done in the past, but I'll just have to be a little more patient I guess. Heard it's a virtue or something like that haha
  14. I have a question regarding deadlines. The upcoming Ramos Delgado Slott has a March 1st deadline. Does this mean it needs to be at the cgc office by March 1st or a completed purchase of it on the site by March 1st?
