I can't let this thread die with what Bunky said about the Avengers #1. I love Avengers 1 but the bottom line is there are no first appearances and it's a gathering of existing characters. It's not like The FF with an intro of all heroes. It's just not as hot a key book in my eyes as TOS 39, JIM 83, TTA27, etc.

With that signature line, 10 bucks a month shouldn't be a problem for you. GPA

Yep. I think a lot of eBay sellers do with high ticket items. Think about how much $ you can save doing the deal outside of feebay I agree...not cool for eBay though. It's too bad the sale didn't go through with his real auction. He did it right the first time around.

Imagine if on Game Of Thrones, the Red Wedding...the band stopped playing, pulled their crossbows and.....FADE TO BLACK. Or the end of Season 2 of TWD, the mid-season finale....they spent the last 6+ episodes looking for Sophia...all the walkers pour out of the barn and....FADE TO BLACK. "Who was in the barn? Is their search over? Who can handle what's to come? Come back in February...same Dead Time....same Dead Channel!!!" The best television doesn't save their payoff, dangling it like a carrot, to get their ad dollars first. They tell their damn story...beginning, middle, end. We know that because TWD has done that more successfully, season to season and without cliche and trope, than almost any show ever made. This, the dumpster, Denise for Abe...cheapens the entire experience and reduces the show's stature incredibly. I couldn't agree more.

As a comic WD fan, this was just lame at the end. Seriously! All that build up for what? Nothing! Negan was a wuss compared to the comic Negan. I was into the episode until he walked out and it was underwhelming. Negan is supposed to be this huge intimidating character with an immediately noticeable vulgar mouth. This show is losing my interest

Avengers 1 - 1972 blue labels - 2806 total BB28 - 655 blue labels - 796 total More than 3 times the amount of AV 1 to BB28.

I just picked up a DD 18 9.2 from Greg Reece on his new OO collection he picked up. North Ga books. It's a really tightly graded book.

I say own both! I actually like the Avengers 1 cover for the fact it has the old Iron Man armor. Only about 10 covers had that gold suit and I happen to like the cover due to that fact. I agree, there are better covers and Av 4 is more dynamic.

Interestingly, you can call those two sales outliers but they happened at the same time. Two sales of different grades at highest prices attained. Having two happen certainly gives more credence to the possibility this isn't just a one time occurrence. It might actually be what is happening with the book. But time will tell. It will take time though because of the lack of available copies out there. Either way, I'm happy to own one and it's a fun time to be a collector.
