The stock is a little heavier than typical cover paper stock. It's not the same thickness and I think it's perfect that way. It's not thin that will bend easily but the stock is not too thick either...hard to gauge but it is heavier stock paper.

Thanks guys. It actually wasn't difficult to get the staples through the cover in the right place. Once I bent the staples upright, I removed them and then I took a thumb tack and put the thumb tack through the hole. I then positioned the cover on the book with the thumb tacks facing downward and I pushed the point through the cover on both holes. I then turn the book over and insert the staples and they go right in. I do this on a piece of cardboard so when I push the staples through the cover the point of the tack can go through the cardboard a little. I then flip the book over carefully and close the staples inside the centerfold. I've only done this twice but it's worked great so far. Happy to show it. I'm not a pro by any stretch but this one seems easy enough and doesn't damage the book in any way.

I recentlly bought a CGC NG Showcase 22 from the boards and then contacted Fedoraman about his great cover reproductions. I received it quickly and put it on today. I took some pics along the way of the staple removal and placing the cover on the book. I'm quite happy with it.

Which of the 25 variants (or so)? The print run on 100 is enormous. 355, 082 according to Comichron, Just who knows what ratio for each cover. That's a lot. Except the small variants....I just can't see any sustainability on #100 if it does blow up. It will just be a short run up and then back to the regular bins. At least that's my prediction.

Held up in customs....2 days late now...not sure its getting here tomorrow either now. Probably have to pay duties on the package also... All worth it in the end bud. Gotta enjoy the anticipation. Thanks for showing me the bright side. I am not good with shipping snafu's.

I just grabbed a NG Coverless CGC copy that i'm going to crack and put on a beautiful Fedoraman repro cover. Can't wait. Comes tomorrow supposedly and the cover in a week or so. I'll post the pre and post surgery pics.

Thanks guys...well it's held up by DHL for some reason and the seller is working it out. Was supposed to get it today....most likely tomorrow. I don't want to post scans yet as i'm superstitious before having it in my possession. It's a 1.5 Purple Label with a married back cover. Presents really well. More to come...

Congrats on picking up a copy! The seller was basically crying today already missing his book he was trying to rationalize getting the one I have available. I think between myself and Guardian Comics we could have convinced him to buy something if we had a few more minutes with him Where was this? At a convention?

My book should be delivered tomorrow! Pics once I get it in. Can't wait. It's not the best grade by any stretch but I am in and happy as a kid on Christmas day.

Me too Didn't know you owned it so congrats on the sale. I did think there was more meat there to at least 30k. I wonder if the BP just scares people because the next bid would have been well over 30k with BP baked in.... And for what it's worth, that copy looked great to me. Are you also the one selling the Showcase 13 and 14 6.0s? I'm hoping the prices pick up steam on them before the auction ends....I just bought 6.0s myself...and they weren't cheap... Good luck!

The Savanah 6.0 copy sold for $27,485. Strong price for it considering it sold for $8,664 back in 2011. However, a 6.0 sold in October for $28.950. Close in price....but I thought the Savanah copy would go higher.
