  1. I think you've posted in the wrong area. The Marketplace is elsewhere. Yup!
  2. I have a raw #8 in VG+ range for sale....
  3. Wow Collin..How could that happen? Or am I being gullible here?
  4. Ahhh! I love this book and you got a sweet one! Looks way nicer than a 6.0. I used to own a 2.0 raw years ago and I miss it so... Enjoy the new book!
  5. Great looking room!!! Love the book selection too!
  6. Just back from CGC this week. Wish I had a better scanner... Special thanks to Namisgr for the TOS 84, 85 and 95. He had 84 at 7.5 raw and also 95 at 7.5 raw. TOS 85 was listed for sale at 9.2 and came back 9.0. All books were pressed by Joeypost...my first pressing experiment. I'll only do it in rare cases moving forward. The TOS 60 was purchased from Crazy Ed's and he had it listed as 7.0... Win some...lose some... 8. Great guy and fast shipping! Easy purchase and would buy from Rube again
  9. Feedback on my sales and purchases. Thanks!
  10. That's awesome! Is that a house or apartment? Looks more like an art gallery.
  11. Wow, any other silver gems? There were 25 copies of X-Force #1, do they count? Not to me....
  12. I've seen it go both ways with CGC. A book you think should be a lower grade gets a slight bump in grade after submission.... A book you feel is a 9.4 or 9.6 comes back as a 9.0. I know a few RAW comic fans that feel CGC is too lenient on their grading standards. I don't feel that way. I feel they are pretty consistent and while in some cases I don't agree with the grade...it's better than how LCS's are all over the map with their grading. I've found that most LCS are very generous with their grading. A VG somehow turns into a F or F+ I'd trust CGC standards over many other graders out there. Only one guy I know is very conservative that I trust.
  13. Welcome! Awesome 5.0. I have a 5.0 as well with OW PQ. Enjoy!
  14. Welcome to the TOS club! You and I are back to back in the registry...very cool Are you on the hunt for the whole run? I have some under copies that might be for sale once I complete the run all slabbed.
  15. I believe the guy said it was lost or perhaps buried in a collection
  16. Thanks CAL The TOS 76 looks great and it was a perfect eBay experience. Thanks for the forum members for providing sound advice about you CAL. And to those who gave me mess for the thread.... Thanks again
  17. To update this post... I won the auction with CAL and he has been extremely nice. Thanks for confirming a stand up seller on this forum and on eBay. I'm only protecting myself and hopefully helping others who might not have known CAL or his business. Thanks CAL. Marc
  18. Someone just made some bucks on that crack and press...I can't tell much difference except the books are identical with the writing by the number.
  19. Sweet book! Looks better than a 6.0. Congrats
  20. Those who like to think they have attained some grand master status because of your tenure or post count can blow it out your arse. Just because someone is new to this forum, doesn't mean they need to be chastised every time they ask something that might have been asked before or is obvious to you. If that is the case, go create a closed forum so all of you who don't like "noobs" can sit around and play circle jerk. Thanks Jeffro. Is this going in the out of context thread you love so much? Or perhaps you can use this for your signature since you enjoy it so. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me how to attain grand master status....I've never received the matrix pill and I know I failed my first task as a forum member by buying books from Pedigree Comics...when is my next task oh great one?
  21. You know...some of you guys are just d-bags. And I mean that with all sincerity. When I started that thread about Filter81...He suggested I do it as I was making a large purchase and recently joined the forum. I didn't know anyone on here and to make me feel comfortable making a multiple thousand dollar purchase he suggested I get feedback on him. I'll continue to ask for feedback on sellers on here and will expect that the helpful people will continue to provide guidance. If this is the worst you're going to get around here... But on a serious note...threads like your own could become problematic. They're not right now, but it's one of those floodgates-type things. Imagine how many boarders there are. Now imagine how many times one of those boarders buys from somebody they haven't previously dealt with. Multiply those two figures together and that's the potential number of threads of this nature we could have in General. No, nobody expects noobs to know everything. What is not unreasonable to expect, however, is that they have a willingness to use the Search function provided, if for no other reason than to avoid a log-jam in General. I've just popped "calamerica-collectibles" into the function and got four pages of related posts. If you don't use the "", you get 80 pages. Just sayin'... Point taken...I hate our search feature though. My next thread will be about how I found my holy grail MS DOS floppy disk of Castle Wolfenstein from my old Acer first generation Pentium system.
