I know it may just be me, but I have NEVER found an ASM 583 first print. Ever. I've bought three ASM collections in the last few years and all those even had later printings.

Thanks for that. I had no idea about the Captain Atom 42. After reading it online, it's a great appearance by her and her third overall.

Because I generally hate shadows, arms, and other non-appearance first appearances. Same reason I'm fighting the uphill battle of 655 vs 656.

Batman 609 vs Batman 618 vs Batman 619 (the entire book)

I actually recommended 619. 609 is the first Thomas Elliott (who becomes Hush), but 619 is the first Hush.

Just a few thoughts: I like Batman 619 more than the rest of the storyline as it's the first appearance of Hush and can still be found for $5 and less. I've always hated Batman 655 as it's such a BS first appearance. 656 is so much better but doesn't have a variant which I think is the key to driving 655 as the one collector's want. I'm not sure the market correction will ever come, but I've been buying 656 on the cheap for a few years.

I've sold at the Jamil Temple show the last six years, but this is the first time Florence has been the same day, which is why most vendors weren't there. I do 3x the sales in Florence so it was a no-brainer for me.

One guy had 58 in his $1 box and the other had 48, 49, 51-53, 55, 56, 59, and 60 is his fifty cent boxes (58 was on his wall).

Better pulls from smallish con in Florence, SC. Everything except the Deathstroke 60 (50 cents) came from a guy with a shop in Charleston. He said he had too many comics and didn’t have time to go trough everything. Ummm.....okay? There were about 8 longs of unpicked stuff. I bought 192 $1 books from him.

Don’t forget that TAH 1 is the first appearance of Amadeus as Hulk, not just civilian Amadeus.

This thread has the potential to be my favorite ever on the boards...………….

You're welcome. I did Florence instead of the Jamil Temple show, but also had a ton of success as I'll post tomorrow. Kudos to you as I'm always happy when boardies get the goods.

Some of the better pulls from today’s build a $120 longbox special. I let out an audible “YES!” when I hit the TWO Static 45’s as Ive only ever found one copy in the wild.

30 (!!) copies of Creatures on the Loose 30 sold yesterday. Does that count as a Bronze Age comic that's heating up?!?
