  1. That's a beauty! I'd be very happy with a 7.0 of that book.
  2. #67 is the highest issue still on my want list. Just haven't found the right one yet.
  3. One of the more difficult to find (and expensive) issues in this part of the run. Bought this from Bomber Bob.
  4. That is tremendous news, thanks for sharing it! Since I have been boycotting Facebook for the past few months I had no chance of seeing it. Already looking forward to it!
  5. Every book I have seen that is identified as trimmed has a label note that states which edge of the cover is trimmed. Is that no longer happening?
  6. Has there been any word or developments in terms of OAF for 2021 and beyond?
  7. She has actually appeared in a few modern(ish) comics, so it is not out of the realm of possibility. That was not me on the #4. My earliest is #9, and for now I am focusing only on the Sci-Fi/Horror issues. Those are plenty difficult enough.
  8. A fair bit of my budget has been going to that title lately...
  9. Sounds like my university... The faculty are even more skittish than the administration.
  10. Was finally able to get my first shot yesterday (and feel like it today, so back to bed soon) so hopefully I'll see some of y'all at a show this year.
  11. It is one of my and my brother's too, but mostly for sentimental reasons. That is the first PHM he bought back in the 80s sometime that introduced us to this world.
  12. that that situation gets rectified this year.
  13. I think this is the only 20 cent cover price in a PHM.
  14. I have a 7.0 but kept an eye on that one, congratulations on the pickup! Very difficult book in higher grades, and one of the best covers of the run.
  15. Thanks! I thought it was gorgeous when I saw it in the auction preview but wasn't sure I would be in the running at the end. Got blown out on that 8.5 #22 that was next to it (now that was a pretty book!). It was not cheap, but I think overall it was a good value all the same.
  16. Got one more step closer on the JIM run last night on Comiclink. I haven't seen a copy of this book above about a 5.0/5.5, and I really like 6.0 for the run so I had held out. Wasn't expecting to go all the way up to an 8.0 (old label, no less) but I am not complaining.
  17. The BAF aspect does add a wrinkle to acquiring the figure, but if it weren't a BAF the size would likely be a lot less impressive. I bought my Fin Fang Foom off eBay already assembled to avoid the hassle of the individual toys, may do the same with Xemnu.
  18. It’s about time they made another toy from a pre-hero monster. Just got this from Hasbro Pulse.
  19. The start of the semester is once again a problem with these dates. The salt in the wound is that I’d already gotten a frequent flier ticket up to Chicago for the June dates. It’ll still be good to visit Chicago for the first time in about three years, but attending the show would have been really nice.
  20. And it is only a three day show, so apparently no preview Thursday. Not that I am going now.
  21. With the arrow pointing to a monster it was either her or a younger brother.
  22. I doubt I will feel like that in June even after I am vaccinated. I fully anticipate having to wear a mask, hand sanitizing like a madman, and social distancing. But for me the ability to get back to a show, especially this one, is just too much of a draw to resist.
