  1. Perfect, problem free transaction for some Dark Tower sets. Sell to with confidence!
  2. I'll take that bet, scrub. Bring it. Oh, Chip, he's hustling you. Really. You'll lose. Somebody knows what I did in my third career after I sold Moondog's... Palatine moondogs?? Oops - nevermind, - think I was mixing up the LCS from my younger days - Moondogs was in prospect, no? Started in Mt. Prospect. Had a shop for a short time in Palatine and moved it to Buffalo Grove... Dropped some money in that store.
  3. Scans? #14 is a known bullet, and a tough one, I'm unaware of other bullet versions in this title. FYI, page 5 of this thread has photos of a bullet cover, and the very first post shows an example of Batman Annual 13 I'd forgotten about.
  4. Good to know. What other issues were in that BGF 4-pack set? 'Tec Annual 8, Catwoman Annual 2 and LOTDK 50. 2 of the 3 are on the DCU list, with the exception being LOTDK 50, which is a shame because that would be an awesome variant. Yeah, apparently the LOTDK didn't get a DCU for that set. The other three did, I've got the Annual 13 and the Catwoman annual (I've had two of the latter).
  5. Do changes at Wizard signal trouble for the fan convention business?
  6. Just under six months away!
  7. I've got quite a few of these as I've been keeping an eye out for them. It'd be useful to document the logo color changes for books like #497 with the overlay that hides the Roman numerals. I'll get some scans up the next time I'm on my computer.
  8. Bought a couple of Spidey slabs and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Excellent packaging too!
  9. They clearly bit off more that they should have in 2015, and their shows all suffered. I don't think anyone else looked at Des Moines or Madison and thought that those markets were ripe for giant comic shows. Not to mention able to justify $1,100 booths for a three day show. As already mentioned, their efforts to muscle into Indy and Orlando were also really stupid wastes of big money. Arent those boardie owned shows?
  10. Black Mask is counting on it's built-in fan base to keep them afloat. With that many covers and the lack of new books released, they're gonna be burning bridges pretty fast. There has to be some mathematical formula to discuss the relationship between number of variants vs. total number of issues in a series that will predict success vs. failure of a title.
  11. There was a Wizard World Convention in Des Moines? Wow, I had no idea and I live in Iowa.. Yeah, it was promoted and I setup there last year. Not even bothering this year. Everything I've heard lately about Wizard is that it's a sinking ship. Hopefully that cruise keeps afloat. I see what you did there. And it won't. Yeah, I can't see the cruise going over well. And what celeb in their right mind wants to be trapped onboard a ship with people geeking out for four straight days? It definitely sounds like a horror movie for them, either trapped in their room or constantly "on" for days on end. Hemsworth seems to have the right idea, I saw that he is meeting the cruise in the Bahamas but won't be on the ship. Very smart.

  13. That's one I haven't yet found in the wild. Nice pickup. I just hope that that sticker is on the bag.
  14. As long as someone would keep an epic Chicago show in late summer I think we'd survive their passing.
  15. What does that first sentence mean in non-MBA English? We lowly anthropologists don't know what that means.
  16. Well look at that, you're right. Now pushed to 2017.
  17. The only DC Universe variant of Action 695 that we know of is the un-embossed version like the one shown in your photo. For whatever it is worth, it looks like the embossed version also got stickered and sold at news stands (makes sense to me, since Superman was selling like crazy at the time due to the death of Superman story). Following is a link that shows the stickered newsstand version of the Action 695. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8602705 Thank you!
  18. Red Hulk is only on the cover of #1, and doesn't appear in the story until #2 (though he technically was behind the events that transpired in #1).
  19. I don't know how I never noticed your posts before, but the CGC boards needs more of this! And less of his sig line.
  20. Who is speculating the day after making fun of the books & owners? It seems like it is all going on at the same time.
