  1. I’ve only ever seen the Facebook page, which is very rarely updated. Anyone else have anything?
  2. Show threads, like the rest of the boards, have gotten a lot less participation since the software change. Big shows usually got 100+ posts and 10,000 views, but that’s rare lately.
  3. Just going to recycle the thread for next year, can't wait!
  4. I don’t think so. The flight that got canceled was a smaller plane, and we had storms roll through last night (not to mention the blizzards elsewhere affecting the system).
  5. Morning flight was canceled, no good options to reschedule, looks like I may sit this one out...
  6. Will there be general admission for Jim Lee, or only with the special package?
  7. No. I opened the flaps of the box and showed the person assisting the x-ray operator what was in the box, then left all the books in the box. I'm guessing that seeing the comics up top, and then the uniformity of the rest of the box, is enough to demonstrate that it is all harmless comics in that box.
  8. No worries! As with anything, letting them know upfront generally saves you problems on the other end of the conveyer belt. Otherwise they just see some dense cube in your bag and then have to investigate. Once I started putting them into the bin separately they haven't given them a second look.
  9. I started encountering this issue about two years ago while flying out of a small airport to shows fairly routinely. I’d carry a cardboard box about 5 inches deep that was packed with books. It did get searched, gently, by a TSA agent who was fortunately a former comic reader who appreciated their fragility. He recommended declaring them and removing the box to place in the bin separately like I would a laptop, and I haven’t had a problem since.
  10. Just looked again, and I did miss that there will be a “Graded/QC” stage. That’ll help some I guess.
  11. Looks like I’ll be headed out for Thursday only. Looking forward to checking this show out!
  12. From what I saw on the “status explanations” link at the top of that invoice page it looks like they’ve done away with “verified” as a status. Now everything will be SFG from the word go, and they did away with “graded” as well, which will make it tough to know when you’re moving through the process. So now you’ll be SFG immediately and it won’t change until they’re finalized. Kind of annoying... EDIT: missed that “graded/QC” is still a thing, so there is an intermediate stage after SFG. My bad.
  13. Did the invoice page change for everyone else?
  14. Yeah, still stunned at how fast “slow” economy has been. I’m thinking this latest one may very well ship before my Modern even gets to SFG.
  15. It did, so that reduced the sting a bit. Still not my proudest moment as a submitter.
  16. I thought I had 25 in the prescreen and apparently need to practice my counting skills.
  17. Moderns have been good, but Economy has been flying for me. Last two subs I’ve had Economy subs shipped in literally the same box as Modern subs move through more quickly. I’ve got an Economy in QC while the Modern is still verified. Same invoice date.
  18. It’s a great show in a great city, but yes, hopefully they can beef up that comic guest list.
  19. Lucky you, that’s a stunner of a tough book!
  20. Thanks! I was really pleased with them. I keep meaning to get more serious about Marvel Tales, but have had too much fun attacking the JIM run. Now that books are getting fewer and farther between I’m getting to that point where my focus is wandering a bit. It’s mostly been to Journey into Unknown Worlds, but I graded the MT so I could start building that registry set a bit too.
