  1. Just the one book today, but it is a relatively rare one. Spawn #2 with the uneven black ink printing defect (the top of the book has virtually no black ink), CGC 9.0 White Qualified due to the manufacturing variation. Paypal, checks, or MOs are welcomed; Paypal only from international buyers. International buyers are welcome, but will pay exact shipping to their location with tracking/signature required. US shipping is included in the asking price, again with signature required. No returns on CGC books. You get the exact book in the scans, so there is little question what you are getting. Nobody on any naughty list is welcome to purchase, nor anyone who has previously backed out of a deal with me. is king, though I am happy to negotiate via PM as well. I will do my best to determine the new owner via timestamp to the best of my ability, though a tie does go to a public . Asking $450 shipped in the US.
  2. Thanks. Last I checked it’s lone highest, second highest is a lone 9.2.
  3. X-Men #25 is terrible, usually a 2 cent arvel.
  4. I’ve often said that if I didn’t start collecting early ASMs back in the late 80s it’d be really difficult to amass my same collection today. Even with a break in the late 90s and early 00s for grad school I was able to fill in gaps rather than start from scratch when I got back into it.
  5. In terms of purchasing it definitely happened back in 1988. Got my ASM #1 (still have it, came back CGC 3.0), my former ASM #5 (came back CGC 5.0), and a copy of ASM #14 that looked 8.0-8.5 but was trimmed (didn't know any better in 1988, sold it and disclosed it). Paid $150 for the bunch, which was a lot of money in between my sophomore and junior years of high school.
  6. No worries! I was a bit pessimistic early on, but unreasonably so in hindsight. Should be a good show for books.
  7. There should be. We’ll have a bit, and @DvilleBookstore is processing a new collection that contained a fair bit of GA (a few peeks have been given on Instagram). Should be a few other dealers with GA there as well, I’m quite optimistic about the selection of books in the room.
  8. I’ll let this thread ride until the weekend. I’m open to reasonable offers, keeping in mind that I’ve already discounted pretty fiercely.
  9. Well, you’d need to let me know which book(s) you’re interested in, plus where I’d be shipping them to. Then I could help you with that.
  10. Last three books for the thread, all Tales of the Unexpected slabs. All of these copies were raws from earlier in the thread. Tales of the Unexpected #55 CGC 8.5 OW-W -- asking $160 shipped in the US
  11. Thanks to @bellrules, who was willing to trade doubles with me, I added this Superboy #32 to my collection. Third new DCU for me this year.
  12. Kid Slade, Gunfighter #8 VG-/VG -- asking $15 + shipping Last issue of the title. Great color, book actually looks great for the grade. Some tanning to interior covers, and pages are cream but supple. Cover and centerfold attached at both staples. Really the worst defect is that small corner off the front cover. I don't think I have ever seen any book from this title before, certainly one of the more obscure Atlas books.
  13. I've got a couple of Atlas books you don't see too often that I found while working in another box, then I will see about getting to those Tales slabs later this evening. Battle #9 Fr/G -- asking $12 + shipping Rough, but book is complete and everything is attached. Some splitting along spine, but book holds together. Some light moisture to edges, most noticeable on back cover.
