  1. I started with a raw that graded at a 3.5, then upgraded to a 4.5 that I thought would be my forever copy. This one fell in my lap and I couldn’t pass it up.
  2. I didn’t take a lot of photos this year as I was in the booth 98% of the time, but here’s a shot of our booth and Duncanville’s impressive setup. @DvilleBookstore
  3. Here is another of my recent pickups, though I made the deal about six months ago. Finally got it paid off and feel like I can show it off.
  4. #4 and 22 for sure, 24 is not easy either. #2-3 are certainly less common.
  5. Yeah, that was one of my first thoughts after reading those dates. Glad you were able to make it down this year! You’ll just have to substitute a North Texas show to get you down our way in 2020!
  6. Oh, I'm sure. I'd have preferred Fan Expo to be like the second or third week of May, but we'll make it happen!
  7. And then the schedule got jammed up again. This show falls the week before the big Fan Expo Dallas, so that will be a very busy couple of weeks...
  8. Saw it on Instagram: March 27-29, 2020.
  9. Well, one of the books I was excited to receive (and the rarer one by far) has been lost in the mail. I've got both the seller and PO looking into it, so it turns up. In the meantime, I'll start the parade of recent pickups. This one hasn't arrived yet either, but I like its chances. I'm very glad to upgrade to this beauty from my CGC 6.0.
  10. Do you know what next year’s dates are?
  11. This is also the company that announced shows in Albuquerque in three consecutive years and never actually did one.
  12. I’ve been following the action here but haven’t been posting as much as I used to. I’ve enjoyed seeing all the books everyone has been posting, and will have a few gems to show off next week. One of them has been on a lengthy payment plan that is drawing to a close.
  13. Not sure if they’ve posted one yet. I’d bet many will check this thread.
  14. Getting to crunch time for dealer prep for this show. If you’ll be attending, let any of the fine dealers who’ll be setting up know if you’re looking for anything in particular... Want us to bring our magazines? Let us know! Particular variants? Let us know! Toys? Let us know! That one issue of the run you need? Tell us! Looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend!
  15. There should be books in the room (we’ll be doing our part there) but yes, I’d like to see them beef up the list.
  16. Well, in this case I’d say it’s because Wizard doesn’t consider themselves a comic show. They’ve been focusing on the celebrity side of things for quite a few years now.
  17. I went with SSWS #90, but it’s neck and neck with #84.
  18. I’ll keep the thread open the rest of today, then close it sometime this evening. Still happy to consider any reasonable (or slightly unreasonable) offers on what remains.
