Now it looks as though we won’t be set up, but I’m definitely planning to be there Saturday.

I still don’t like the new layout but have gotten over it to an extent. Based on the drop in posting I think plenty are holding a grudge even after time has passed.

2018 was a fun year for buying, and my collecting focus continued to evolve (and often get off course). It is difficult to narrow it down to just three, so I cheated a bit, but even then I could have listed a few more books. Journey Into Mystery #2: I missed this book by seconds the first time it auctioned on Comiclink (somehow I mis-set my phone alarm for the snipe ) but I got it the second time around. I may have overpaid, but it isn't often that I see my name written on covers. JIM #35 and 75: I will never miss an opportunity to buy a White Mountain pre-hero Marvel that I can actually afford! Shout out to @gregreece for working with me on the #75. Marvel Tales #93: This is an upgrade to my previous 3.0. I love the cover and the significance of the book.

I had a similar thought. I don’t even collect those but that cover is cool as hell.

My plan is to let this thread ride for another 24 hours or so, then do a soft close Monday night. I have another 40ish books from this collection (World's Finest, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Superboy) that I plan to list, but would like to wait until after holiday travels to do so. If you have purchased and would like to settle up this week, I would like that. If you would prefer to wait a couple of weeks to see what else gets posted and combine shipping, I am fine with that too. I will be sending PMs to purchasers to see what they would like to do. In the meantime, I am well open to offers on any book(s), not to mention the 10% discount on any book that was posted prior to the Detectives.

Last Action... Action Comics #287 VG -- asking $19 + shipping Solid enough copy, but 1/4" horizontal tear (maybe cut) at mid-spine that penetrates entire book. This does not affect readability in the slightest. Centerfold detached at lower staple only.

Action Comics #281 VF/VF- -- asking $115 + shipping Structurally beautiful with fresh white pages. Minor stain in the 10 cent box, penetrates lightly to inside front cover but does not affect pages.

Action Comics #278 VF/VF- -- asking $129 + shipping Another gorgeous book with gorgeous pages. Ding, and accompanying 1/8-1/4" split, at top of spine is really it.
