  1. Seriously considering checking this one out. If nothing else I’ll get to visit one of my favorite cities.
  2. Another fun (and expensive) Clink auction. Getting hooked on these “picture frame” Timelys (if there is a more accepted term please enlighten this life long SA collector).
  3. Happy and a bit surprised on a few levels to have gotten this:
  4. If they’ve been received at CGC I would definitely assume so.
  5. I remember buying my first TTA(93-I've went on about that a bunch of times before) and being hooked, such a COOL title! I started seeking out the other "Tales" books and noticed with earlier hero issues there would be these great short paged sci fi stories that soon became my favourites.I was pretty young and green at the time, just learning, and thought the early, non hero books I was told of by the clerk at the shop I visited every Saturday during that summer of 1988 must be the rarest books in the world! This was one of those long gone dusty shops in a rough part of town that sold records, had box upon long box of comics on tables and the floor and an adult section in the back! After many afternoons spent happily digging I was rewarded with my first, and I never stopped looking. Before joining up here after a long hiatus from comics I thought I was doing great with my forty or so examples of what I didn't know were called PHM I started on them back in the very late 80s while still in high school. I was a Spider-man and Hulk fan, so in addition to their main titles I also started going after TTA for the Hulk stories (didn't really care about Ant/Giant Man back then). While looking for TTA at shops and the one show I could get to (the OG Chicago Comicon, Christmas in July every year) I started stumbling across the first pre-hero Marvels I got to see. I started buying TTAs way back then, too bad I never bought any of the #13s or #27s I saw!
  6. I wonder why? CGC really was fast on my other tiers of books submitted at the same time. But they are crawling on this tier. The book is a Marvel Graphic Novel. Maybe that's why? I have two moderns I had them press, just as an experiment. At very nearly three calendar months, with the books not even at CGC yet, I can’t say I’m impressed. These were finally received at CGC today. So maybe I’ll see them by Halloween. That couple of books hit Verified today. Halloween is still in play.
  7. If they did something as simple as add a 14 or 30 day duration on exchange books it’d help. If sellers had to elect to renew the older listings it should help clean up books that are no longer available. This would keep stale listings off the exchange. I’ll admit to getting offers on books that were long gone because I forgot about the old exchange listing.
  8. It does seem to be a tough book. #58 has had a reputation for being difficult but I’ve seen more of them than #60. I'm also impressed by the fresh appearance of the book based on the scan. I’ll post a BC scan when it comes in.
  9. Your experience may have been different than mine, but a clean and functional exchange has never seemed to be a priority for Comiclink.
  10. I posted this in the CG Clink thread as well, but it’s just as appropriate here. Paid a bit more than I thought I’d have to, but I am happy to have it.
  11. Enjoy the game! We’ve managed to have a conflict on the weekend of this show ever since we first heard of it about 4-5 years ago. This year is no different. that 2019 is our year.
  12. Rumor is that this’ll be the last October Fan Days show.
  13. Just dropped my first prescreen sub in the mail: 27 moderns slow track.
  14. I was hoping you’d be showing that book off today. Great pickup!
  15. I guess I need to actually read the calendars I check for this stuff... As for the tables at a corner, it depends on the show. It’s not that unusual to only supply one, and it keeps costs down, but it’s a bit of a pain if you’re bringing a lot of table stock.
  16. It’s always nice when the tracking isn’t updated.
  17. It’d be sweet if it was. I guess we’ll wait and see who signs up to be a dealer at this show. If it wasn’t two weeks prior to SDCC it might be easier to catch folks enroute.
  18. Got my eye on a few goodies. Another fairly deep auction for my interests, and even have a book or two on the selling side.
