    Are you speaking from experience? Everything you say is certainly true and possible, but if it were easy everyone would be doing it. I’ve sold at roughly 40 shows over the past 3-4 years, large and small, and the money doesn’t flow quite this smoothly most of the time. Of course I don’t have a tree with $100-300 keys in the yard either. You can only sell them if you get them.

    Decent enough to cover costs to attend the show, but not a great one. I can’t speak for all dealers, but a $15,000 weekend at most shows would be a spectacular weekend, not a decent one. Obviously mileage may vary, but if you’re not selling AF #15s and the like off your wall you’re not pulling down those kind of numbers.

    I agree that the value makes more sense, but as far as the vision goes... How much would they have made buying AF #15s up at 1997 prices? 3x isn’t that great a return on that money after 20 years of inflation.

    Excellent first post, welcome! The Steel #10 fits in with the theory that many of these single issue gaps will be filled in by new discoveries. But the Guy Gardner is out of left field, nowhere near any other issues in that run. So it’s either random, or we’re missing a whole lot of GG on the list...

    There has been an event thread, but like most places here lately it hasn’t gotten a ton of traffic. Unlike Fandemic (who underwhelmed me, and hasn’t yet announced any further dates), ACE may stick around long enough to get to a second round of shows. I would be interested to hear views from vendors. None of the comic dealers at Fandemic Houston made enough to justify doing another one.

    Where do you get those little figure boxes? They look really useful. Are they as stackable as they look like they would be? I’m envisioning a slightly inset back so they don’t slide around when stacked.

    Size-wise it sounds a lot like Fandemic Houston. That show also had a small retail area relative to most large shows. It’d be interesting to hear from any comic dealers that do the show, but I don’t know if any of those you mentioned are even on the boards.

    Oh I am, I was expecting a similar wait just based off the TAT when I sent these in. My complaining must have worked, 10 days stuck at SFG and then all the way to QC today.
