  1. My ISP only allowed 10 MB of image storage per account, so I had my comic covers spread over several different e-mail accounts. I finally rearranged everything into a Photobucket account and have it all nice organized and ready for many many more scans. The downside is that I most likely killed every cover scan I have ever done on this board in the last few years doing it.

I am going to repost a few favorites now, some of you have seen them already.

Photobucket (I sprang for the premium service) really is a nice service, and with premium it's only like 25 bucks a year.

  2. Hi

I only know Dave, and from my own experience he is a man of integrity.

He has always treated me well and the outmost of consideration. He has given me opportunities that I could only dream of otherwise.Ive dealt with him for 12 years and have never had any problem with grading nor have I ever found any restoration on any unrestored book he has ever sold me .[i only by unrestored books]

I am a Big collector of Superman and Batman and Dave is my #1 source when Im looking to purchase serious material.I would not trust anyone else at this level.

Hes earned my respect and business and I will continue to do business with him.

Not to bad mouth Action1kid, but I really do see you more as an Action2kid.

  3. Let's make it a trifecta of Superboy's:

Not easy issues to find this nice cloud9.gif

Very nice! What do you grade them as?

The 56 is beautiful, ow/w pages and some nice gloss on cover, I think it is vf/nm material. The 63 is just as nice, except there are a couple spots on the back cover that would crucify in CGC terms...but nonetheless it has beautiful presentation of a horribly difficult book to find with nice eye appeal. I bought it for about the "fine" price...sell me books like this all day long cloud9.gif

Completists have a somewhat diiferent perspective on their collecting goals. In my case I want copies that have nice eye appeal, but I don't get too worried about the "technical grade"...grading does come into play though because that is how prices are arrived at. I tend to stay away from these kind of books in 9.2 or better because they price at multiples...so I look for 7.0-9.0 raw copies priced around guide.

I settled for some lower graded copies in completing my Jimmy Olsen collection, but I am being pickier with the remaining books I am looking for. You dont have to have a slabbed 9.4 to appreciate a nice looking comic. In fact, when I browse through my collection reminiscing...I like to pull the books out and smell and look through them. You just cannot do that with slabbed books.
