  1. Looks like a exact repro of Sugar and Spike 22.
  2. I have never seen the French issues before, very cool!
  3. Those early issues are very tough above VG. The pages on your three look great!
  4. That Peanuts Sunday has got to be worth a fortune!
  5. I don’t have a number 3, so you got me there!
  6. There is no competition here, awesome that you now have a 1 and a 2!!!
  7. Wow, some really nice books! Any Brave and the Bold or Superboy/Adventure Comics?
  8. Walking Dead 100 San Diego Con variant with Kirkman Signatue in new Walking Dead label slab. First appearance of Negan and Lucille, check out the cool Lucille label. $200 shipped in the US.
  9. Lemme see, I think I have 15, 23, 25, 47, 53, 62 and 82 to slab.
  10. One thing for sure, 60'is a key and it is rising in value. It is also harder to find in high grade than 54.
  11. Thanks for all of the great comments. I find myself obsessing over acquiring more issues!
  12. Then we're in agreement, 60 is the first Teen Titans.
  13. Not the highest graded, I think there is a 8.0 and a couple others higher than this copy. Out of 20 graded this is the fifth highest, so mostly lower graded copies. Certainly a scarce book and one I was very happy to acquire. I bought this from another collector. I now have number 1 & 2 and 60 out of 98 issues in the whole run
  14. No, the Titans are not second rate. I had a seven year old over this eeekend and he asked to watch TV, he said he wanted to watch Teen Titans Go. I watched the episode with him. Weird but funny.
  15. I have no delusion that it will ever "un-be" their first appearance.
  16. Jeff, if everyone but Wonder Woman were B&B 27 and the issue was labeled as Flash, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter together in one adventure, no mention of Justice League, then, a year later in Brave and 33 they added Wonder Woman and called it the Justice League of America, you would then consider the 27 as their first appearance? We're not talking about the very next issue. If it was the very next issue, it would be hard to deny the intent. This was a year later. It was a regular team up issue, no different than the issue before or the issue after. There was no Teen Titans until after that issue came out and fan response started pouring in and number 60 came out. I know this has been rehashed a million times and it is not my desire to get back into this. I just don't see how anyone can say that definitively 54 was the first Titans. If Overstreet never tagged the book with that label and had always referred to it as a tryout or something else, I bet we wouldn't see many comic fans arguing the point. IIRC you have a very nice 54, right?
  17. I just don't get how people who understand what Brave and the Bold was don't get that number 54 was just another team up issue. That particular issue was the inspiration for number 60. I get the desire to call number 54 the first Teen Titans. I have said on many occasions I own both issues and the 54 is one of my favorite silver age issues of all time, that does not make it the first appearance of the Teen Titans though. To me it just seems obvious that the popularity of the response from number 54 brought the editors back to the drawing board to create something with more of an ongoing status. That is number 60. The 54 is always going to be a highly sought after popular and valuable issue and I hope that never changes, however it does not contain the key elements necessary to call it the first appearance of the Teen Titans.
  18. Three more Sugar and Spikes this week besides the number 1, a good week for the Sugar and Spike collection!
  19. Love this cover. I actually have four issues in a row in the 20's now, 23-26:
  20. Two more raw issues to add to Project Sugar and Spike:
  21. As you all know my intention was to have high grade copies of each issue. The reality though is that it seems unlikely I would ever get a number 1 if I held out for one. This copy is very nice in that it has nice bright cover colors and great pages, good registration and overall nice eye appeal. I'm really happy to have it. I still feel like it's impossible to complete the run, but this last purchase did get me four issues closer. I have two raw issues to scan and share yet, but I now stand at 60/98 issues complete! A few of these are raw and I may slab them to get in the registry.
