  1. I don't remember, but I do recall that it is the 2nd appearance of Brainiac!
  2. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed that high grade slabbed Adventures with the Legion have been fetching good bucks for quite awhile now.
  3. You're right, I left that out. I usually spend about close to 40% of my time looking through every dealers booth. How much I spend is dependent on if I find stuff to buy. I still go there to buy comics, I was just pointing out that I also go there for other stuff too now.
  4. I love that first Secret Origins as well. Don't forget this one, it's sequel, a great book too!
  5. Will be my 30th year at SDCC. I still love going, I attend panels, look around, enjoy the Gaslamp scene, look at comics. Check out the movie and TV stuff. There isn't anything else like it. The con has changed, but I get to meet book writers, see tv and movie premiers, see tv stars. It's cool.
  6. Thank you for the kind words, there are many amazing collections and collectors on these boards, it the greatest community of comic fans that there is.
  7. That's it folks, thanks for hanging with me and celebrating the Boy of Steel and his thirty year run! if I ever get an Adventure 247 I may do a Legion of Super-Heroes complete, it's the only issue I need to have every Legion appearance from the 1950's - 1990's!
  8. The numbering for Superboy continued as the Legion. Superboy went on to star in a new book called the New Adventures of Superboy, I have most of those, but it's not a very good series.
  9. This issue was a one shot that you could only buy as a direct edition. I bought this copy new.
  10. The final issue....30 years 1949-1979 Superboy 258
  11. Superboy 250. I always liked it when DC noted anniversary issues with images of earlier issues.
  12. No, that's great! I have a Grell Warlord myself, it's very cool.
  13. Grell covers only. This was some really good reading and comparable to any of the better comic stories from the era. Maybe not X-Men good, bud pretty good overall.
  14. This issue always reminded me of Adventure 332 and the Super Moby cover
  15. Whenever you collect a run of something, some book has to be your last one to get. For whatever reason, Superboy 212 was my last issue I needed to have like 100 on up. It took going to the Chicago Comic Con to get a copy. When I say that I don't mean it's scarce or anything, it's just that finding nice copies of Bronze Age books can sometimes be more elusive than you would think it would be.
