  1. Just one book for now, looks like there are quite a few of these in 9.8 in high grade and everyone wants high grade money out of them.  Fair enough.  This one is only a 9.4 so the price tag might be a little more bearable, and who knows, maybe with a press you will get a nice little bump towards that high grade money yourself.  Asking $99 + shipping which is considerably less than the 8.5 currently listed on Ebay.

I found mine in 2002-2003ish at a store on SoCal, so the Wonder Con connection makes sense.

This is pretty much what I was hoping to find out.  If all of these that exist came out of the same location, it makes sense that it was either somebody in Southern California with too much free time or possibly a very small test run that came out of the studio.  I'm still leaning to the too much free time myself.  Why doesn't someone post it to Lee's or Campbell's  facebook and see if we can get any information about it?  They might have slept since then, but sometimes people remember some of the strangest things.

Grades don't bother me as much as it does some. I just didn't have the funds at the time dude was selling

I also copped flack when I brought up the idea to have my Phil Noto sketch colored. But I'm of the opinion the right colorist can enhance the right piece..

I managed to work out 2 different trades.  Given the small turnout, I'll call it a success.  Hopefully more people can jump in on the next one.

Yeah, I think it's a product of the forum these days.  A lot of the facilitators do their thing by group PM so a lot of people don't check regularly the threads anymore.  We used to see all kinds of people posting sketches all the time, but even that seems to have died down.  Maybe we can work on building that back up...

  7. So it's been a while since we've had a trade weekend, and it looks like we have at least a few people that would like to participate so let's plan on the weekend of January 5th-7th.  The idea is to simply list books that you would be willing to trade and others will post the items they would like to trade and hopefully a few people will give some books a new home! The timeline is by no means a hard-fast time, but try to have your trade items posted by this weekend to give everyone the chance to see whatcha got!

No real "set" rules or way to do it, list your books - some people like to put a rough idea of the value of each book, or you can simply leave it for the negotiating which is typically done via private message.  Any questions, just ask.  Someone will jump in :)

Reserve yourself a spot and good luck with your trades!
