  1. Anyone have a feel for why all the cancellations? A few here and there are expected, but seems to be a lot this year and about 4 less on each aisle up and down, someone said it went from 30 to 26 per aisle. I like the idea of raising the age for getting in free to some extent, but feel like it was done to try and bring in locals. Has attendance been dropping? I haven't noticed if it has! Leave me something to buy, I can't get there until Saturday!

I think the cheapest pieces started at about $250 or so for some small illustrations, and then it went up substantially from there for the larger and more polished stuff.I bought a couple of prints and got a couple of sigs, so I was happy to meet him. He's one of those guys that I feel should have a line around the block to meet him, but since it's a model kit convention, there's not much interest in the art guys. Same with Bill Stout, who is at Wonderfest pretty much every year. Super art, and a great time to meet them and talk to them because chances are there is no one else in line.

DragonCon in Atlanta is a great place to talk to Stout for many of the same reasons. It is so huge a lot of the artists get lost in the shuffle. He wasn't even set up in artist alley last year. I think he was on one of the floors where they had just general sales.

  3. Another point I haven't seen anyone make yet is storage of the collection itself. If you need this gone vs if you have room for it. Just my opinion, I would work on moving all those statues first to drastically reduce the storage space. Each one of those can take up considerable room, as well as potentially help you fund anything you might decide to do with the comics if you find any to be of value.

Maybe Spider-Man Far From Home will deal with it more seriously, I don't know, it was just a guess. But Spider-Man Homecoming never got too serious, almost like a Disney teen movie, so it's an educated guess.

I did like the subtle approach in Endgame though, when Hulk brought everything back. I liked the first indication of something being different was sunlight shining through the window and birdsong, followed by a phone call.

I'm not sure how many of the casual fans will really even care, but I can't say for sure that all of those kids are supposed to be Peter's friends from 5 years ago. Just the one and maybe he had dusted as well. Re-integrating half the population into a society that probably moved on should be a HUGE issue, but I'm not sure it promotes the Marvel story-line so how much they address it will just have to be seen.

It is interesting how the MCU is going to handle these follow-on movies like Black Widow and the Disney+ shows like WandaVision, Loki and Hawkeye after the events of Endgame. How the film events impacted all of their lives.

A few articles are digging into this already.

How Does Avengers: Endgame Feed Into Disney+ Shows Loki, WandaVision, And Falcon And Winter Soldier? [ENDGAME SPOILERS]

I wonder if this one is now going to have a title change after Endgame?

The Black Widow one is the one that has me spinning... I almost feel like now that Clint knows her father's name he will set out to search for him and discover her past and it will be a story in flashback mode.

  6. So other items, lol

What did Cap do with the "stone" that he had to return to Asgard? Inject it back into Jane?

I still think when he returned the Soul stone he should have been able to release a soul, right?

If there are indeed alternate time-line Thanos now that means we still have alternate time line Tonys and Natashas right?

You're ruining the entire movie for me!

      Hide contents

    :jokealert:

    lol

Believe me. It is the ONE sticking point I haven't been able to get past! I think I can agree that not all stones affect people the same way as the one held in Guardians....

Nebula jacks into the QT, though. The suits The Avengers use are "GPS" devices for the QT. If Nebula plugs in Sanctuary II's location, the QT is probably able to pull it into reality..?

Yes, but this is after she hands Thanos a vial of Pym particles earlier.

You mean with Rhodey? Scott was on the team with Hulk (and Iron Man/Cap).

All of the heroes return to the Quantum Tunnel at the same relative "time".

This is a valid question, though. Not sure how Sanctuary II makes it thru the QT after Nebula uses the vial to return.

Yes, sorry I  was carrying on two conversations on two messages :)

What changes the potentials here is another Stark with a shield, as I do remember in Iron Man 2 Tony was working on a shield design. Though he doesn't say it is made of Vibranium.

It served an important purpose. :nyah:

Plus just think back to Infinity War in Wakanda. Black Panther simply says get this man a shield. Design is there and they have the vibranium.

The "extra vial" Thanos has was retrieved from 2023's Nebula, who was returned to 2023-Earth on Sanctuary II, with Thanos and all of the other 2014-year characters.

Not every Infinity Stone reacts the same to touch as the Power Stone. See: Jane Foster in The Dark World.

Right, but 2014 Nebula went back with Scott at the end of the mission so she would have had to use her 2023 vial. Right?

That'll probably be answered in AsGuardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

    He died in Infinity War.

The way I look at it is since Gamorra was no longer fighting on Thanos' side and was actually trying to defeat him, she wasn't considered as part of his army and survives but since she has no "connection" with Quill she doesn't fly off with the Guardians. Lebowski Thor is the Gamorra replacement.

He did not say there was more than one. A few pages back I posted the First Avengers scene. Howard makes it clear this is THE ONLY ONE.

    :foryou:

Tony might have been saying it sarcastically. I'll pay attention to that scene to see if I heard it correctly next time I see it.

  14. So here's my two things:

    1) Only enough Pym particles for everyone to make one trip and Cap only grabs 4 vials later and yet somehow an extra vial gets to Thanos AND the younger Nebula returns with War Machine?

    2) I totally agree that everybody just holding on to the stones freehand seems a bit much after watching Guardians of the Galaxy.

The other interesting thing is when Cap returns the Soul Stone to the past he must give it to the guardian of the stone, which of course was/is the Red Skull. That would have been worth seeing.

Plus, if it is a soul for a soul, when he returns the soul stone, shouldn't he be able to release a soul?

But then where DID he get an unbroken shield if that reality's shield is on ice with that reality's Cap? Unless SHIELD had more than one shield?

If I remember right when Stark brought the shield back to Cap he said Howard made a few of them so the unbroken shield might have been a prototype or secondary testing piece.
