Eh, I could see somebody doing something with the character but probably not Disney. I think they probably look at the catalog they have and think they probably have better options ahead of a sequel.

Impactful - if you had to pick one cover out of all the Dave Stevens Covers that floats your boat more than any others which would it be? ::

So I finally found that unique item I was looking for around the house. Back when I was in college a friend of mine gave me a couple of cds and I've held on to this one more because it has a rip-off from Dave's Planet Comics # 1 than the fact it is a bootleg CD of a Dave Matthews Band concert. Somebody probably made a little money off of this without giving any back to either Dave!

It's been a good 4 days.

So! Day 3 of Heroes was a success as well! I came out of there with Dave books everyday! In total I found a DNAgents cover, a Girl Crazy Cover, a Crossfire & Rainbow Elvis cover, and a Madman back cover. The Girl Crazy might just be grade worthy too. I actually saw it on Friday but decided to wait until Sunday to try and grab it to see if I could get it at bargain and got it for half price. None of these were in the dollar boxes guys.... I think we've been found out.

I didn't pay more than $3 for any of them but these things are starting to get pulled or just not put in the boxes anymore.

Oh, my bad...there was a dealer at Heroes that had two separate prints for sale and I'm pretty sure it was the ones you referenced too. He had them up in his display but I know I can't touch those so I just didn't even go there.

Yeah, I saw those too. Wasn't he asking like a $1,000? Signed and numbered?

I think Mayor said he only found 1 Stevens BC and it was not in good shape either. It may be that I've cleaned all the locals out and the big boys dont bother with such lowly books. Who knows?

That's probably it. I talked to a couple of people that basically said they just don't bother to put them in there because most people these days don't even know who Dave Stevens is. Such a shame.....

They have been up there for a while now. Other than that everyone has been a little skittish about them. Either a too good to be true or a great deal that is out there for someone willing to take the risk.

Oh, and congrats to whomever got the Starslayer 9.8 today!

Any original piece from Dave would be a grail of mine but it's just not a good time for me to bid on something like that.

That makes sense. I should probably try that method myself. My paypal balance might be a little more in the black than it currently is if I did.

I've only been at this since December of last year so I have little clue when it comes to grading. I basically just look at the book and try to find the ones that have as few as possible things that I would mark off for. That seems to work to some extent but I've had at least one book in every order that I missed totally. And when I say miss I mean by a lot. Everything else comes out within 1 to 2 grades but I seem to always have one book where I must have dozed off or been watching House....

Right now I'm trying my best to weed through what I want to get graded and what should be graded and trying to limit my order at Heroes to less than 20. When I get the ones back I sent in April I will be putting 6 of the 15 up for sale. It wasn't intentionally that way, I just missed the grades by one spot or more and think somebody else might want them cheap. Probably for less than what it cost me to get them graded because a couple of books made up for it with nice grades and as long as that happens I'm fine with getting less back from the others.

As long as I break even and wind up with some nice books how can I be losing?
