  4. That is true. They do feel heavier in hand. My Brave and the Bold # 28 is cream to off white . My Showcase #6 earlier is White pages.
  5. I think its because they wanted a certain House look in there early years. They didn't branch out till Neal Adams and others came along in the later 60's.
  6. I agree,Jimbo. I have a Showcase #6,1st Challengers that has beautiful white pages. That book is 1957.
  7. This is a very interesting thread. Does anybody remember when these books first started to show up in the marketplace? Conventions , Internet,etc.? Was there a dealer who bought these to market? Great theories!! Maybe the INT stands for internal. File copy, or then again International. somebody out there hopefully knows .Again , great thread.
  8. Steve, if you get a chance pick up copies of FF#57 to #60. Wonderful Doom /Surfer story. Bought those books off the newstand back in 1966. Lee and Kirby were at there peak then. My favorite Doom story in the Silver Age. Btw ,I did upgrade my copies years ago. My originals were pretty beat up.

  11. John Fantucchio,great fan artist. Didn't he also retire from the CIA? It's in Bill Schelly's book on fandom.
  12. I've always loved this book and villain. The later "new"Vulture' was fun also in #48 , #49 and #63.
