  1. Again, I love his lines and the way he inked everything. Always added to the pencils, but never took away from them.
  2. First time that we have Sinnott inking Incredible Hulk 1, especially over Kirby.
  3. I managed over the years to grab a bunch of the inking challenge pieces from the Inkwell Awards. All inked over Sinnott bluelines. Very interesting too see others inking over his pencils and sometimes his own inking style on the same piece in comparison. I love the sharpness of Sinnotts lines, how his backgrounds are not overpowering and letting the scene and/or character speaking for itself. 4. I always wanted an early Kirby/Sinnott FF, but it was always out of my price range. Luckily my page above had some Kirby Krackle. I have a Kirby FF storyboard and asked on multiple occasions for Sinnott to ink a blueline version of it, but was always turned down. I went with the next best Kirby linked inker available, Mike Royer.
  5. Amazing page! You never seem to surprise me with what you have in your collection.
  6. Unfortunately another great comic artist has passed away, Joe Sinnott, but would love too see everyone's examples of his work that you have in your personal collection. I will start. Spider-man Sunday Strip, November 2014 (Saviuk and Sinnott) Fantastic Four 319 (Pollard and Sinnott) This was in his personal collection until recently.
  7. Amazing inker, sad too see another great go.
  8. What is the general consensus towards the current experimental sketches compared to the earlier inked sketches? As well, is he also publishing these watercolor, mixed media, ... sketches?
  9. I thought about that, but if I want to see a particular piece then I have to wait until it rotates to that piece. With an art book I can study the art closely if I choose and spend as little or as long as I want looking at it. Both options have pros and cons. I am surprised more people don't have electronic picture frames in their comic rooms rotating through their unframed or currently off the wall art.
  10. Fred was kind enough to contact JLGL and he was able to confirm that he drew it. Regarding when and if it has been used for anything, he was not sure. I can confirm that it was drawn on bristol. Does anyone know if they have seen it used for any merchandising or posters?
  11. Ordering a book through Shutterfly or Mixbook. You can choose the paper, size, cover and so on. Like making your own IDW Artists Edition, but with your own art. https://www.mixbook.com/photo-books
  12. Is there a chance it was used for a poster or anything promotional? Here is another scan I have of it, I used Photoshop to darken the pencils, but will take a photo of the original tonight.
  13. Thanks Fred. I will try and get a better scan of it tonight and identify the paper. Does Jose, think he drew it?
  14. Currently 1%, but I was thinking of scanning all of my art and create a coffee table book. Maybe through one of those photo book companies, if allowed, so I can always look at my work, but not worry about framing issues, UV light and the issue with space.
  15. Are you certain it is JLGL's? The face looks different than his usual Superman style. I tried contacting JLGL a couple of years ago, but never heard back from him and have no way getting in touch with him. I also tried going through Spencer to get clarification, he didn't think it was JLGL's style and said he would contact him, but again never heard back. It wasn't purchased from Spencer.
  16. I bought this Superman pinup from a major dealer several years ago. I bought it under the premise that it was by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, but I have my doubts. Can anyone identify who drew this piece?
  17. Great piece and framing. Will look amazing in your comic room.
  18. Would that be similar premise to the Siegel signed DF comics offered years ago?
  19. I think he has stopped out of respect for the protests and unrest currently occurring. Maybe he will startup when things resolve.
  20. Ontario chief medical officer of health recommending immediate suspension of large events and gatherings over 250 people. If this is applicable to Toronto Comic Con and it gets delayed or cancelled. Will there be refunds/compensation for those who have this event included in their FanExpo badge?
  21. Does anyone ever use Command Strips to hang their art or anything else in their comic room? If so, which ones and how many are used to handle the weight of the frames or canvases? I don't want to put holes in my walls or have anything fall.
