  1. As per the norm, people have vanished from a Wizard World show with no indication that they were ever scheduled to appear. I assume Mike Mayhew and Steve Skroce are not coming to San Antonio now and Emanuella Luppachinois no longer coming to Chicago. Norman Reedus dropped out of San Antonio as well but that appears to be due to filming.

I noticed that Dustin Nguyen has disappeared from Boston website.

Fan Expo Canada and Dragon Con seem to be competing for guests, Patrick Stewart and Mike McKone are both booked for both shows...on the same date...

Mark Buckingham is making a rare U.S. appearance in Baltimore as is the elusive John Cassaday.

Lori Petty is coming to Alamo City Comic Con, it seems like someone asked about her awhile back.

Interesting observation! Both shows would have benefited from being held on separate weekends.

  2. Ha... I just picked up one of my favorite Disney movies of all time for free. I do not pick up many discs these days (I still have not bought a Marvel movie as much as I love the films) but I love the classic animation of these films and on top of that I love the commentaries and features that are included.

Thanks eBay $20 coupon! I still had to make a paypal payment for $0.00 which was kind of cool.

I thought eBay stopped giving away free money, do tell?

  3. Hi guys, I just have to share this even though this is for comics...it's a grail of mine and I'm beaming!

Concept art from Iron Man 1 movie - Mark 1 (hence my screen name)

Was used for a key scene in the movie and also to build the maquette/final armor in the movie. I'm honored and thrilled to own it.

That is impressive. Can you make out who the artist was on that? Sometimes concept and storyboard art are produced in house for things like this (as in a Marvel artist) and other times are outsourced to established artists that specialize in storyboard and concept art.

It is signed by Adi Granov, he does a lot work for marvel and has drawn several iron man books.

  4. I just got these back from CGC today and I'm so happy with the results; added Conway, Romita Sr, Larsen, and Bagley to my list of Spiderman collaborators. I think I may be done with this little project of mine.

My total list includes: Ramos, Wein, Delgado, DeMattieis, Slott, Waid, Stan Lee, Olazaba, Nauck, Peter David, Lim, McKone, Wolfman, Romita Sr, Romita Jr, Quesada, Janson, Michelinie, McFarlane, Conway, Larsen, and Bagley.

    Amazing!

  5. Nah, $1.81 mill, goes back to the earlier discussion in regards to the first full appearance in 181 and the first true appearance in 180 and value/significance. In terms of overall books I agree, but this is the first time in a panel he has appeared, nothing in 181 can take that away from this page or argue with it. No original page in 181 can say this is the first true appearance of Wolverine.

  6. My first submission finally came back from CGC...

Sorry about the quality of the pictures... I'll take better one's tomorrow but I guess my question since this is the first time I have owned a signature series comic is why is it in a slab that is about three inches to big... I can't even fit it in my CGC graded short box. Is this normal for the signature series?

I was going to ask the same question. My CGC SS slabs are usually the size of regular CGC books unless it is a larger or thicker book. Strange!
