If you sell your 2 ASM punishers and your Giant Size X-Men it would probably get you a low grade ASM 1.

Great cover! Your awesome collection seems to be growing in leaps and bounds!

It's a Bob Kane lithograph that was made off his first designs of Batman. He found them stored away and for the 1989 Batman movie he did something with Warner Brothers to have a limited number of prints to commemorate the movie.
What is the story behind that print? I haven't been able to find very much information about it online or the number print editions that exist. Prints of 10, 100, 500, but not sure what the difference is between each print edition.

Great minds think alike! Plus I had a great mentor! All I need is a hulk for my small collection of Spiderman, Superman, Iron Man and Batman OA, then I will have OA from all of my favorite characters.
ASM 308, Micheline and McFarlane (signed by both):
Action Comics 201, pg.4, Plastino:
Iron Man 258.2, Micheline, Ross and Layton (signed by all 3):
Batman 610, Lee and Williams (signed by Lee):

2 Batman Dailies from 1991, Story by Loebs, pencils by Infantino and inks by John Nyberg:
Funnyman #2, pg.3, Story by Jerry Siegel and Art by Shuster Studio, probably John Sikela and maybe layouts by Shuster.

I am not sure if this book qualifies for infinite signature, but I have been wanting it for a while and finally got my hands on it.
Jerry Siegal, Action 1 Reprint
Batman 171, Anderson, but hope to get West and Ward on it soon.

Bat 1s are forever popular. Even if someone pays a little more than current market value, the long term investment potential is real and the satisfaction of owning a Bat 1 is fulfilled. (thumbs u
You really hit the nail right on the head.
I've been fortunate enough to own some great books over the years, but none of them could compare to my Batman #1. If I had to choose between Tec #27 and Batman #1, I'd choose Tec #27 because of value and rarity but in terms of overall enjoyment, it's Batman #1 all day long.
There's many more Bat pages in Bat 1 than Tec 27. And someone called the Joker I think.
This is something that is a bit overlooked IMO. In the CGC era that we live in today, many books remain encapsulated. When looking at a slabbed Action #1 or Tec #27, it's easy to overlook the fact that the majority of those books are comprised of non-Superman and non-Batman content. Fewer stories, fewer pages = less history in respects to a page by page measure.
While I do feel that the supporting stories of both books are a bit underrated, they still do not hold a candle to their superhero counterparts. If they did, pre-hero issues of Detective, More Fun and Adventure would sell at rates comparable to their superhero counterparts. Those of us who love the history of the medium can appreciate them, but we're not likely to see billion dollar film franchises based off of them either.
Batman #1 doesn't just have bulk-content -- it introduced, arguably, the two most famous villains in all of DC Comics -- in addition to being the first issue of the solo series dedicated to DC's more popular hero.
Joker, yes, but Catwoman is definitely not more famous than Lex Luthor.

I was hoping someone can help.
anyone seen of these i am looking buy one. I heard it is an ultra low print run of this superman comic dont know the year. I figure a Copper Expert on here might know or has one to share the info. any help is appreciated!
It looks like some sort of Superman 500 variant.
What if you took it out of the bag and looked on the bottom of the first page?
ive been waiting all week to get it. its on its way to Los Angeles and is currently in Midwest...stupid slow tracking....
i cant wait
It has been over a month, what is the status of this comic?
I think it was determined to be a German Reprint.
Ok, I didn't see any update since that posting about waiting for it to arrive.

Anyone see the BAT CAVE Room on tonight's Comic Book Men?
Here are some of photos of the Bat Cave that cost him $150,000 and 2.5 years to build. As well, a link to a video tour of the Bat Cave.

With the money spent on that room he could have obtained low grade copies of TEC 27 and Bat 1 instead. The question now is do you spend the money on the ultimate room with a bit of everything in it or do you focus your money and obtain the ultimate collectibles and spend less on the appearance of the room?

The best day I've had as a comic collector has come today...I got my all-time grail book:
AND................it's signed by Jack Kirby!!!
Needless to say, I feel like this right now:
Amazing find! Where did you manage to find that gem?

Hmm tough call. I personally love Batman 11.. I think it's one of the better Batman covers.. Also detective 69 the classic double gun Black Joker cover. A classic Robinson cover. But hey, it's really all up to you.
Brian
Both awesome suggestions! Sweet covers...I'm looking to add two more single framed slabs to finish the batman wall. Any suggestions from my fellow batman fans/collectors?
Dark Knight Returns and maybe either Batman 11 or TEC 58 or 66.

I guess my copy is the only authenticated one. Does that add a premium or detract from its value?
-
$1,376.01 was that a good price or below expectation for a 7.0?
-
Is there any value in coverless complete copies of Showcase 4, beyond a good read?
-
It also depends on whether you ever plan on selling it or not. If you plan on keeping it, do what makes you happy. I recently got 2 pieces signed, 1 by McFarlane and Micheline and the 2nd by Micheline, Layton and Dave Ross. Definitely created a nice conversation with all 3.

G.A.tor, is there any value in coverless keys beyond a good read?

I have several coverless big keys (Sup 1, Showcase 4, ASM 1, ...) for most of them a nice separate cover would cost as much as the complete comic. As well, most of separate covers are very ratty. I would be better off with a repro, is the issue about the cover or the story inside?
